It was the first day I didn't pick a favorite, but the only favorite I liked was Timmy and the Giants yesterday... at -160 there was no way I could rationalize that wager. Congrats to anyone who has made money on the Giants this year, it's been tough. I'm fine with going 1-0, Royals are a serious threat with their pitching. It'll be very interesting to see if they can take this mojo into Detroit next week.

Today, there seems to be much more value on the board. Lannan should feel right at home and put up a QS against a Nationals team playing with little confidence right now going 4-10 in last 14 home games. A's need to bounce back in a new series and have the right match-up today. Parker has been their most consistent pitcher over the past few months and faces off against a familiar face in Esmil Rogers who wants to forget his last start vs. Oakland. Blue Jays similarly are just 3-7 in their last 10 home games. Good luck.

Looking to start the weekend off right with two teams coming in off well-deserved wins. Baltimore continues to be a small favorite and the Angels continue to be a small underdog. I think Wilson and Chen both put up a QS today and that should prove to be good enough. Slight concern as always with the Angels pen, but I don't peg the Indians as much better, so pens are a wash for me in that game. Giants and Indians have both come to a halt offensively in August sporting .605 and .600 OPS respectively. Meanwhile the Angels and Orioles are both thriving with OPS near .800 in August. Should make things tough for Gaudin despite his amazing success and Ubaldo with his control issues. Time to roll the dice and see what comes up... Good luck.

Just as soon as I win a miracle game in the 9th, I lose one yesterday with the Reds in the bottom of the 9th. Such is baseball, and it's what makes the game so fun and unpredictable. Sucks from a money making stand point, but from a entertainment stand point, it doesn't get any better!

Yadi is back behind the dish today and that honestly make a HUGE difference as the Cards look to bounce back from a shutout yesterday. Wood doesn't scare me as a lefty, the Cardinal starting lineup is hitting over .300 off him. Yankees aren't going to just stop playing well because Lackey takes the mound. Really really. I see very little reason to be wagering on the Phillies for the rest of the year. What is it about them that you like joco? If it wasn't out of for respect of Mr. Lee I'd be hitting the Rockies again today.

I hope there's still enough chill in the Royals bats for Rienzo to make quick, and I mean quick work of Kansas City and pick up his first win with the streaking Sox. The kid is hungry and should continue to keep the Royals out of rhythm. The Orioles will likely get a QS from Chen who hasn't played against his own division since April, giving the bats of Davis and Jones a chance against the likes of Hellickson who is very beatable on the road. I like Buck and the Orioles to remain confident and try everything to salvage the series and stay in the race. Good Luck.

i was on the phillies again yesterday cuz the won on monday...i bet based on pitching matchups and how they did the day or 2 days before...i liked phillies game 1 and they won so i bet them again last nite. if they won last nite id bet them again today to sweep...kind of a reverse chase...

anyway i love the rockies tonite for + money since they won last nite...also lee has lost his last 5 starts and the rockies roster hitting .333 against him.

Needed that 2-0 to get back on track this month. A short card with big chalk makes for slim pickings, but I feel the Blue Jays have the weapons to take one down in this series, so it makes just as much, if not more, sense for it to be today as it does any other game. Joe Kelly has been the best piece of this Cardinals rotation lately and he should have a softer lineup without a healthy J. Upton or Heyward. Maholm might need some time against a team that knows him very well. Good Luck.
