As soon as Felix got yanked after 6, I knew the momentum was going to shift. As such, doing something different today, and I'm switching sides today and rolling with the Yanks as a small favorite. My hesitation surrounding Gallardo is quenched by this match-up. He's lights out in Pittsburgh and can help his own cause at the plate. Pirates have yet to knock anyone in from scoring position during the first two games (0-for-21), and I think we may have three in a row... Yovani should provide a strong showing today.

Shame Jose Fernandez doesn't pitch on a winning team, the guy has the stuff to win 20 games. Not messing with success today. Sticking with the Giants as they aim for #11 in a row versus the Rockies and revising the Sale/Wilson match-up for last Sunday. Nothing in the past week has led me to believe he can't do it again.

Today, Dempster looks to improve his 2-4 record despite only giving up 36 hits in 48 innings this year. Twins are 1-8 (0-3 this year) with Diamond on the mound at home, so his chances are good. Also like Jurrjens to come out hungry with a new team after falling off in Atlanta last year. Tampa's pitching will keep any team in the game.

Today I'm riding the vets in a couple statement games. Sticking with the Red Hot Sox to return the favor with a sweep and the Pale Hose to continue exposing the Angels pitching. Angels need 10 runs to win it seems like, so I like my chances with Peavy on the bump to take the series.

Only thing worse than my underdog record is the Marlins record. My love affair with Jose Fernandez may well be over... but in a day where only two underdogs won, I can see the silver lining. Big props to the Cardinals who bailed me out in fine fashion behind a career night from Descalso.

Today we aim for win column with Latos and Kuroda who have been lights out recently. I understand super sexy Harvey is pitching for the Mets, but just like Hammel I expect there to be a correction in his 7-2 team W/L record. Mets don't have the bats to sustain those numbers for him, and Hammel won't get 8+ runs of support most starts.
