Giants only needed two 1st inning runs to get the job done... Not disappointed as much as I am surprised at how Gaudin has truly surpassed everyone's expectations this year. Congrats to everyone on the Giants and Twins. Time to bounce back, and I think I got the right guys to do it as they are both looking to bounce back themselves. A's can beat the Angels w/o Cespedes and more importantly w/o Weaver, he's always been their Achilles heel. Line is a little high given all the Braves support and a win last night, but Peavy should be hungry coming off the DL in a rare match-up that clearly favors the home team. Good luck.

White Sox came up big with the bats, and the A's stayed dormant. Ready to move into today and steal two seemingly unlikely wins with the Tigers and Nationals. Good luck.

We usually end up splitting on those days don't we joco?

It's Monday again... time to get back to the grind... Garza has seen his team go 8-3 in his starts, and let's remind you this is the sub-.500 Cubs. Skaggs is nice, but he's unpolished and has squandered some early opportunities. I like the guy who knows how to win with a bunch of Scrubs. Plus I'm going with Max Scherzer... nuff said. Good Luck.

Liked the 'Windy City Parlay' tonight with both of their best pitchers. Skipping it now without Garza going.

Scherzer got it done once again... easy money if you ask me. Cubs were also able to get it done with Rusin, and I can only imagine that Garza would have been able to at least match his performance. I'm not going to count the Cubs as a win given that I do list my team's starting pitcher (and for good reason). Today I'm going to keep things rolling with the Braves vs. a spot starter for the Mets and Tribe with the return of Zach McAllister to the hill. M's have been good as of late, but the last time the Mariners lost Erasmo Ramirez was on the bump, so it only seems fitting he snap the streak today. Good Luck.

Nice work yesterday joco... looks like you killed it my man!

I on the other hand got burned as everyone so easily predicted, and once again must poise myself for a quick bounce back day. Stras is a risky pick with the Nats on a 5-game skid, but they are at home, and I think he has a shot to reach double digit K's tonight for the first time all season. Pittsburgh is still in top 5 in MLB in terms of strikeouts and hopefully they'll show why tonight. Good luck.

Kuroda and the Yankees impress while the Brewers sink even father down in the standings. I don't know if I've backed James Shields yet this year, but it's about time. Dude might not win a Cy Young, but he comes out thinking he's going to win every time, and actually has a plan of attack. Just need to get him some damn run support! Good Luck.

Got two night games on tap, and I like the home teams to take it down! I see bad spots for Boston and Texas as road teams here. I don't care much about past history of Feldman getting knocked around in Arlington. Boston's offense has come to a halt, and the Orioles should take full advantage if they knew what was good for them. Indians have put up 21 runs the past two games. Neither Yu Darvish nor Engel Beltre scare me much in this spot. Tribe has their ace on the mound, so no reason for me to believe their current streak won't continue at home tonight. Good luck!

Today I'm looking at two young pitchers with promise, I just hope their offense gives them a little support. Cosart is looking to keep his win streak rolling, and has the skills to take down a major league lineup. Only chance Astros have at winning back to back games is finding a team like the Jays in this sort of a position, it's a good number on a good young pitcher. Same could be said for Santiago. Guy has gone 0-3 in his last 3 starts despite having a sub 3 ERA. You can't win without run support, so if Chen continues his scoreless streak on the road I'll be a little nervous. Still up against a lineup full of lefties, Santiago should keep the ball in the park and once again give the Sox a great chance for a W. Good luck.

Cosart and Santiago did their part no doubt, just couldn't get a run from either offense. That's the way the ball rolls some days, you get back up and bounce back! Going with proven success in De La Rosa at (10-5) on the year and Garza a combined (7-1) on the year. Good luck!

We had a couple more exciting finishes last night... while it would be nice to nail down a blowout I'll take a win any way I can get it. Not scared of Strasburgh in this situation, but if I were him I would be scared of Detroit's lineup. Wheeler has found ways to win, and with a few starts now under his belt, he is showing more consistency. Nothing against the Marlins fine young starters, but the Mets play better on the road. Good luck!

Nice to get a 2-0 day again, need one more to make this my best month of the year. I'm heading down south today and feeling some home teams on hump day going for the sweep. Angels and Reds are both on big 5 game losing streaks and it won't get any easier today. Stults has had amazing success at home, while Bailey has had exactly the opposite on the road. The situations looks too perfect for these trends to continue, and at plus money I have to bite. Jerome Williams and his pink glove have been fading fast and he's getting starts now just to eat up innings. He's had two quality starts in the past two months, both coming against Houston. Remove those two starts and he has a 9+ ERA in his last 30+ innings. Perez isn't a diamond in the rough, but he is at least serviceable. Good luck.

Please don't burn me again Jose! Ethan Martin for the Phillies deserves more respect at home, he should find success if he can shake the nerves... his last 18 IP in AAA, only 1 ER. On a side note, I just picked up field level tickets for the Yankees game while I'm down in SD for $60/ea. Seems too good to be true. Good luck.

I got two Jake's on the mound for me Saturday. Cardinals are hitting anything and everything right now, I don't care who's pitching or where they are playing, 13 runs in back to back games w/o Yadi... plus money is a gift. Also feel Peavy is going to perform in his Red Sox debut. He brings a mad dog mentality and knows how important it is to secure a win in front of the Boston faithful. Corbin has been great no doubt, but this is easily his toughest match-up of the year and should cause him trouble. Good luck.

Padres are decent at home, but sporting a 5-16 record vs winning teams in their last 21 interleague home games shows their success might be the product of a soft NL West division. Safe to say this has been a down year for Ian, I can only hope Hughes strikes while the iron is hot. Good luck.

I'm sticking with the M's in one more game, and as long as Iwakuma can keep the ball in the park, Dickey should provide enough opportunities for them to put up a few runs and win this game handily. Even though they just traveled from the east coast, I still see a solid home field advantage. Minor has been too good lately to ignore him as a dog. Strasburgh always holds massive dormant potential, but I haven't seen it erupt enough this year. At this point, I'm sure public belief is that he'll turn things around soon, but to me the numbers are suggesting otherwise. Good luck.

Phillies are in a deep hole right now hitting just .171 during their current 5-game skid, and without Brown for at least one more game it's tough to see how they get out of it today. Chatwood has one bad game and he's now a coin flip against the Wright-less Mets and Mejia. Even without CarGo, the Rockies can put up some big numbers tonight, and Chatwood has shown he has what it takes to lock down a QS tossing 6 in his last 8 starts. Good luck.
