But could you explain why your betting on the Yankees and the Blue Jays? I really liked the Rays here but you've gotten me confused...

Also as a Orioles fan, times have been rough but Miguel Gonzalez usually steps up. I think hes tremendously underrated. Hes one of those guys who very rarely has a rough outing but if he does, it can be bad enough that it affects his numbers. I like the O's on the runline -1.5 at +176. Reasoning behind yanks? Just momentum vs. a slumping team?

I don't want to dog your team, but IMO the Yankees are just overall a better club. I think Hughes, despite getting his ass handed to him lately, is a better pitcher than Gonzalez. Also, this is Miguel's first game off the DL and he didn't make any rehab starts so I think he may be a little rusty. And yeah, the Yanks have been hot...the Orioles not.
I agree that Miguel is underrated. If Baltimore continues its climb from mediocrity (last year was nice), y'all shouldn't have underrated players for very long. A rising tide raises all boats, so to speak.

The Toronto play is only for a half-unit so if you can't get it at +125 or better I would lay off. I don't expect Tor to win, but think it will be a close game because Cobb hasn't exactly been a world-beater lately (strikeouts notwithstanding).

Simple, the O's are not maintaining leads. Starters are giving up too many runs, closer blown 3 straight save chances. Runs are all well and good, but the Yankees have also been scoring recently . A 15+ game (9-7, 10-6) is definitely possible.

No, my lines aren't that great. I'd love to get better ones, but I like my local. I'd be interested to see what my record would be using better lines.

I agree with sOverign. With regards to Cincinnati, other than a 3-run bomb by Byrd they really didn't do much against Cueto in his first game back. Leake's been pitching outstanding lately and I think that continues.

Pluthero. I understand the wife thing.. Also, I just think its not good for the soul to spend too much time on it.

I know you don't have time for line-watching. What I was saying though, is if you bet all the favorites early in the morning, say 8 am. Then you write down all the dog bets you have, and if you bet them all at noon, I would say almost every day you will get better value (considering how many plays) and definitely better value in the long run. That really wouldn't take much more time.

Maybe try writing down the line changes (which would obviously take some time) for a week and see if you can't add a couple units that way?

That's not a bad suggestion Tofudog. I always knew that favorites in football seemed to gain momentum as the week went on, but never really thought about baseball. I'd love to get better lines so that may be the way to go. It won't start tomorrow though. I've got to leave too early in the morning for work and might not even be able to cap the day games. Which sucks because there are 7 of them.

Don't be afraid of the Braves. I know they're in the South but they're good people. Just stay out of the ghetto. All kidding aside I really like Maholm here and Worley has been terrible except for his last start against Boston, and he got a little lucky in that one.
Ari/Col is a tossup so I just took the dog and I just barely like Toronto to win which is why it's only a half unit play.
I hate the Cubs man. That's alll I got.

I'm going with Chicago on this game. I really like Buchholz, but I don't think the Red Sox beat a team hotter than them tonight facing a pitcher in Santiago who is quietly having a very fine year himself.

Tofu, I laid off the Seattle game and am throwing good money on Kansas City. I just don't really see Lyles with two excellent starts in a row which is what he'll need with this lineup facing Shields. That guy is a beast. GL
