Depends which book you use, I use Bet365 and you do have the option to 'action' your bet with runlines.

If you bet action then it doesn't matter which pitcher starts, your bet is still valid but the odds may or may not change. They cannot cancel your bet if you bet action unless the game is postponed.
If you bet listed pitcher then the listed starting pitchers must start otherwise your bet will be void and the book give you your money back.
