Norway earned an impressive 4-1 victory over Iraq, as Erling Haaland scored twice. While Norway is favored to win over Senegal, the latest Erling Haaland props and odds suggest a much tougher matchup for one of the best forwards in the world.
My World Cup predictions below highlight why I expect Haaland to be aggressive early, just as he was against Iraq, though I don't expect nearly as much success against a Senegal team that played excellently against France for the majority of their first match.

‼️ THE MOST IMPORTANT NOTE ON THIS GAME
Despite giving up three goals against France, Senegal's defense made life very hard on the French. Therefore, I'm not just blindly expecting Overs for Haaland after an impressive first match. This Senegal team is significantly better than Iraq, so I'm looking for value over basic plays.

Erling Haaland 2 or more shots on goal (-110) vs. Senegal
Haaland's two goals against Iraq came off five shots, four of which were on target. Going back to Norway's World Cup qualifying campaign, Haaland has at least two shots on goal in six consecutive competitive matches.
While Senegal's defense was impressive against France, holding the French scoreless until the 66th minute, France did put eight shots on goal. With all this in mind, it's not surprising that the price for this prop is as high as -130 at some sportsbooks, so get in at DraftKings before the number increases.
💵 SBR Edge: Haaland shows up when it matters
Haaland didn't put any shots on target in his last two Friendlies with Norway. However, it's hard to take those performances very seriously when you consider what Haaland did during World Cup qualifying. In eight matches, he put 28 shots on target, an average of 3.5 per game.

Erling Haaland to have 2 or more shots in the first half (-130) vs. Senegal
Haaland was aggressive against Iraq, with both of his goals coming in the first half. Considering that plan of action worked so well, I expect a similar approach in this match, especially since Norway can clinch a berth in the knockout stage with a win.
In their first match, the Senegal defense proved they struggle to defend top-tier players. France finished with 11 shots, four of which came off the foot of Kylian Mbappe. All of Mbappe's shots were on target, as Senegal struggled to get under his feet.
Erling Haaland first goalscorer (+300)
Haaland has scored 57 times in 51 matches with Norway, including 17 goals in just nine matches last year. Yet, I find the price for him to score in this match too expensive.
However, there is value in Haaland scoring first. I anticipate Norway controlling possession and Senegal's offense struggling with Norway's defense early. Therefore, I expect the first goal of the game, if there is one, to come from Norway.
Though Haaland has scored first in only two of his last nine competitive matches with Norway, he's also the only Norway player to record more than two shots in the match against Iraq. Only one other player even put an attempt on net.
