Looking to get some action on the NHL's 10-game Tuesday schedule? We look at the day's top NHL team and player prop picks.

During Tuesday's packed slate of NHL action, the Edmonton Oilers' vaunted power play will try to feast on the Detroit Red Wings, a solitary Montreal Canadiens forward looks to continue to shine amongst a sea of darkness and pain, while a Boston Bruins star will put a few pucks on net against the rival Ottawa Senators.

With 10 games on the docket Tuesday night, there are plenty of intriguing matchups and prop picks for NHL bettors to sink their teeth into. Here are my top three NHL prop picks for Tuesday (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook).

Tuesday’s Top NHL Prop Picks

Oilers Over 4.5 goals (+220 via DraftKings) ???Nick Suzuki Over 0.5 assists (+138 via FanDuel) ??David Pastrnak Over 3.5 shots (-150 via DraftKings) ???

Top NHL Prop Bets

Oilers Over 4.5 goals (+240)

The Oilers' power play is running roughshod over opponents. Lead by the terrifying triumvirate of C Conor McDavid, LW Leon Draisaitl, and C Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, the Oilers are operating at a 50.00 percent clip through 10 games. McDavid, Draisaitl, and Nugent-Hopkins sit 1, 2, 3 in power-play points.

When you combine the Oilers' PP prowess with the Red Wings’ 27th-ranked penalty kill (71.11 percent), and the winged wheel’s penchant for spending time in the sin bin (10.1 minutes per game, 22nd in the league), Edmonton has the opportunity to put up a crooked number with the man advantage.

Although the Red Wings have been a bit of a surprise to start the season with a 6-5-2 record through 13 games, the Oilers are 9-1-0. They are putting a league-best 4.40 pucks in the net per game, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they put 5 behind projected Wings starter G Alex Nedeljkovic on Tuesday night. Detroit allows 3.38 goals per game; good bad for 27th in the league.

Suzuki Over 0.5 assists (+138)

After signing an 8-year $63-million contract extension in the days leading up to the season, Suzuki completely fell flat coming out of the gate. He had a single point through his first six games.

Since then, the 22-year-old center has become a beacon of light in an otherwise dark season for the Canadiens. Despite the Habs’ inability to put pucks in the net (the team is averaging a paltry 2.00 goals per game), Suzuki has notched 11 points across his last seven games. He was held off the scoresheet in only one of those contests.

With the Canadiens’ power play slowly improving, and a giant chunk of the offense running through Suzuki, it wouldn’t be surprising for him to add a helper or two to his season total, as nine of his 12 points are assists, on Tuesday night.

Pastrnak Over 3.5 shots (-150)

One of the NHL’s premier goalscorers of the past few years, the Boston Bruins winger is off to a slow start. He has found the back of the net just three times through his first nine games. That said, the dam will eventually break, and Pastamania will likely run wild at some point soon.

For that to happen, Pastrnak will need to keep shooting the puck. That’s not going to stop on Tuesday night against the Senators. The Sens aren’t exactly great at suppressing shots, ranking 29th in the league with 34.3 shots on goal allowed per game.

Pastrnak is averaging 4.33 shots per game and should clear 3.5 shots on Tuesday.
