Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is officially out for this AFC North rivalry game against the Cleveland Browns, so my Ravens vs. Browns prediction backs the home underdogs.

Baltimore looks to tie its best start (5-1) through six games since the franchise was founded in 1996. While it may earn the outright victory, Cleveland is appealing catching more than a field goal at home.

Kickoff from Huntington Bank Field is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Baltimore is a 3.5-point betting favorite.

Ravens vs. Browns prediction & best bet

Browns +3.5 (-105 via DraftKings)

Certain metrics suggest the Ravens have been better off when Tyler Huntley has started at quarterback over the last two seasons.

In that span, Lamar Jackson is 9-8 while the team has averaged 26.8 points per game, converted 37% of its third down conversions, and averaged 1.1 turnovers per game. With Huntley under center over the last two seasons, the team is 3-0 while averaging 33.7 points, converting 56% of third down, and committing 0.3 turnovers per game. But if you think that Huntley gives Baltimore a consistently better chance of winning each week, I have a bridge to sell you.

Huntley turned it on late in a comeback win against Atlanta, but slogged to 13 completions over 21 attempts, totaling one touchdown, taking three sacks, and logging a 27.8 QBR over the first nine possessions.

All three of Baltimore’s wins during its three-game winning streak have been by one score, but it hasn’t yet faced a team with a winning record. I like Cleveland’s chances if the Ravens start slow again.

📡 SBR Edge: Cleveland's ATS streak

The Browns have covered the spread in six consecutive home games against AFC North rivals, and underdogs have won outright in seven of the last eight games between AFC North teams.

Browns' pressure should force a conservative game plan

Cleveland’s defense has generated nine sacks with a standard pass rush (t-6th most), and the unit ranks sixth with 16 sacks overall.

The Browns enter the week playing man coverage at a league-high 44.4% rate and have allowed the fourth-lowest completion rate in that split. Meanwhile, Huntley dinked and dunked his way to a win last week, averaging 4.7 air yards per attempt (the lowest from any quarterback against Atlanta this season) and attempting fewer than 17% of his passes 10-plus yards downfield.

Score prediction: Ravens 20, Browns 17
