Drake Maye will look to build off last week's huge win as New England returns home Sunday and I make my Raiders vs. Patriots prediction.

After it looked like New England's season was dead, a thrilling road win over the Bills in Week 4 gave the Patriots momentum. Raiders QB Kirk Cousins and star tight end Brock Bowers fell just short of staying undefeated in a 30-27 loss to the Chiefs. The Patriots are a 3.5-point betting favorite, with kickoff at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., set for 1 p.m. ET (CBS).

Raiders vs. Patriots prediction & best bet

Raiders +3.5 (-105 via FanDuel)

The Patriots are likely going to be without top CB Christian Gonzalez for a second straight game. Cousins has been in quite a rhythm to start the season, defying expectations with an impressive 11 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on a 64.6 percent completion rate.

New England's turnover issue isn't going to go away any time soon. Maye continues to deal with miscues, as the offense has logged 2+ turnovers in every single contest this year.

Maxx Crosby's ability to disrupt off the edge is a big reason why Las Vegas has yet to give up 250 passing yards to an opposing quarterback. However, the Raiders' run defense is suspect, allowing 127-189 rushing yards in 3 straight games.

Ultimately, Cousins' efficiency, paired with Maye's turnover-prone ways, points to the Raiders as a 3.5-point underdog in this spot.

📡 SBR Edge: Riding the Raiders

The Raiders are a perfect 4-0 ATS in 2026.

Maye's miscues lead to a Raiders win in Foxborough

If a team wants to beat the Raiders, they'll have to beat them on the ground. New England's running back tandem of Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson is far from elite, with vision and fumbling issues plaguing both players.

Maye is inevitably going to commit a fumble or throw an interception. The Raiders have forced nine turnovers this year and are 2-0 SU on the road. Cousins finds Bowers enough to stay ahead of schedule and win this early game on the East Coast in Week 5.

Score prediction: Raiders 24, Patriots 20
