Top Expert Team Prop Picks

Buffalo Bills Over 3.5 Touchdowns (-155)

The team touchdown total on the Bills (-14 point spread against the woeful Miami Dolphins) is 3.5 (Over -155) and that looks quite doable for Buffalo. Miami is allowing nearly 30 points per game (31st) while Buffalo is averaging nearly 34 a contest (2nd) so it only makes sense that the Bills will break the plane of the Dolphins' end zone at least four times on Sunday, right? I think so and I hope you do, too. Go Over 3.5 Buffalo TDs in this one. -Johnson

Cleveland Browns Longest Touchdown (-135)

Browns QB Baker Mayfield (shoulder) returned to practice this week and was reportedly looking good on Thursday after a one-week absence. While his ailing shoulder is undoubtedly still a concern, this matchup and prop greatly favor Cleveland, as seen by the juiced odds. The Pittsburgh Steelers are tied for last in the NFL with a 9.2-yard average depth of target given up. Even with shoulder troubles through much of the season, Mayfield is tied for first among qualified passers with 9.4 intended air yards per pass attempt. On the other offense, Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger averages just 7.0 intended air yards per attempt and is 30th among qualified QBs with 6.4 yards gained per attempt. -McLaren

Washington Football Team Over 20.5 Points (-105)

Denver is allowing 6.9 yards per attempt so far this year and it just made Case Keenum, of all people, look good in Week 7. Now I think the Football Team can come in here with Taylor Heinicke at the helm and light up the scoreboard. Washington is scoring 21 points per game on average this year, which doesn't grade it out as a good offensive team, but it would still cash this Over. I don't think much is required here, nor do I think this Denver defense is good enough to stop Washington. -Ducey

Top Expert Player Prop Picks

Josh Allen Over 2.5 Passing TDs (+120)

Let’s stay true to our premise above and assume that Buffalo’s Josh Allen will be shredding the Miami secondary throughout the afternoon. At DraftKings, we see a highly achievable player prop of 2.5 passing touchdowns for Allen, despite only tossing a pair against the Dolphins earlier this season in Buffalo’s 35-0 win. However, we believe Allen will keep his three-plus TD pass streak alive and make it three straight games of reaching that number in Week 8. -Johnson

Jalen Hurts Under 47.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

The fun prop pick in Eagles games this season has been the Over on Hurts’ rushing yards. He’s averaging 51.6 yards per game on the ground and has topped 47.5 rushing yards in three contests, while also posting single-game totals of 35, 44, and 47 yards. He’s unlikely to feel as great of a need to run around on Sunday, however, as the Detroit Lions are last in the NFL with a 17.5 percent pressure rate. Hurts also rushed for a season-low 30 yards in the Eagles’ Week 5 win over the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia is favored by 3.5 points on the road in Week 8. If all goes according to plan, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni will want to keep his quarterback protected, especially with veteran backup Joe Flacco traded away this week. -McLaren

Joe Burrow Over 260.5 Passing Yards (-115)

The Jets have struggled in a lot of areas this year, but the secondary has always been one that was of particular concern. Entering the season, they were undermanned back there and are running out inexperienced youngsters on a weekly basis. Because of that, they rank 25th in passing yards allowed per game. Burrow comes in off the back of 281, 271, and 416-yard games. He should hit this Over, and the fact that the Jets have yet to pick off a pass only helps matters, considering Burrow has thrown eight so far this year. -Ducey
