Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel will face his former boss for the first time when the Dolphins visit the NFC West-leading San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. Check out our top Dolphins-49ers NFL picks based on the latest odds.

Two of the NFL's hottest teams go head-to-head on Sunday when the Miami Dolphins visit the San Francisco 49ers.

The 8-3 Dolphins have won five straight and are looking to keep pace with the Buffalo Bills for the best record in the AFC East. First-year head coach Mike McDaniel is at the controls of the NFL's third-ranked offense, and the sixth-best scoring unit.

He'll go up against his mentor in Shanahan, the leader of the 7-4 49ers who have won four straight. The Niners haven't lost since fully incorporating superstar running back Christian McCaffrey into their offense.

Here are our Dolphins-49ers picks for Week 13 (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook, pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Dolphins vs. 49ers Odds

Dolphins vs. 49ers Odds Analysis

The 49ers could be a powerhouse in the NFC, and they're fresh off of a 13-0 shutout of the New Orleans Saints. Meanwhile, the Dolphins may boast a longer winning streak, but they've feasted on inferior competition lately.

As a result, the Niners were installed as 4.5-point favorites when lines opened. The line has since dropped to 4, with 53% of the cash and 72% of the tickets backing the Dolphins.

The Over/Under opened at 45 points and now sits at 46.5. The Over is drawing 59% of the cash and 75% of the tickets.

Dolphins vs. 49ers ATS Pick

Dolphins +4 (-110) ★★★★

This matchup is a toss-up, and I'm therefore happy to take the points with the Dolphins past the key number of three. All Miami needs to do is keep the score within a field goal to cash this ticket.

Both teams are legitimate Super Bowl contenders, with offensive masterminds leading each squad. While the 49ers field the superior defense, McDaniel has spent enough time in San Francisco's building to scheme up an offensive game plan that takes advantage of some vulnerabilities, particularly in the Niners' secondary.

The 49ers have been limiting teams to 15.7 points per game. However, a shutout of the Saints and the 13 points per game they allowed against the Los Angeles Rams, Chargers, and Arizona Cardinals are skewing that average. The Kansas City Chiefs scored 44 points on San Francisco back in Week 7.

Dolphins vs. 49ers O/U Pick

Over 46.5 (-110) ★★

Expect Shanahan and McDaniel to put on a show as they attempt to one-up each another.

The 49ers boast the NFL's No. 1 total defense and scoring defense. But they're vulnerable through the air, and the Dolphins rank second in the league in passing offense.

McDaniel spent four years as Shanahan's run-game coordinator and the 2021 season as his offensive coordinator. If there's one guarantee, it's that there will be an abundance of trickery and creative play calls made, many of which could result in a touchdown.

The forecast is calling for rain, but only a couple of showers and 0.05 inches of precipitation are expected.

Dolphins vs. 49ers Prop Pick

Mostert + Wilson Jr. anytime touchdown parlay (+800) ★★★

Former 49ers running backs Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. aren't exactly thrilled with how their tenures ended in San Francisco.

Mostert wasn't brought back after opting for surgery to correct an injury, and he signed with the Dolphins. Wilson was traded to Miami after San Francisco acquired McCaffrey.

The Dolphins duo is looking forward to matching up with their former team.

"I've got to turn up. Former employers? They've got to come see about me," Mostert said to Tyler Dunne of "Me and 'Jefe' are gonna go crazy."

While rushing-yard props may be the more sensible play, a touchdown parlay involving both Mostert and Wilson Jr. pays out at +800 through Caesars as opposed to +500 at DraftKings.
