The Bills have the highest-scoring offense, averaging an extraordinary 38.5 points per game through two weeks.
Their 36-point outburst in Houston impressed most, and they will feel confident moving the ball against a Chargers team that allowed 26 points to the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders. The Chargers have the 25th-ranked defensive pass EPA, which doesn’t bode well against the Bills’ second-best passing EPA.
While the Bills defense ranks among the worst 10 in several categories, including allowing the joint-third-most points per game (31), the Chargers offense under Mike McDaniel is more incoherent than his press conferences. The unit scored the third-fewest points per game (14), which is especially dreadful given the level of the opponent.

Chargers depleted lineup
The Chargers have troubling injury concerns, most of which have impacted the offensive line and tight ends.
Six players are ruled out, including offensive linemen Kayode Awosika and Trey Pipkins III, along with tight end Charlie Kolar, defensive back Elijah Molden, defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, and wide receiver Brenen Thompson.
The news is especially bad for Justin Herbert, who has already been picked off three times while being pressured at the fourth-highest rate (28.8%).
