Both the Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills will look to keep rolling following wins in their respective NFL preseason openers. Here are our best Broncos-Bills picks to make ahead of Saturday’s showdown.

One of the most fascinating storylines ahead of this Week 2 preseason matchup is the stark contrast in coaching philosophies. Bills head coach Sean McDermott believes in executing what the team has practiced during the flow of an actual game – starters included.

Broncos rookie head coach Nathaniel Hackett recently indicated the opposite. He hardly played any starters last week, and that doesn’t seem likely to change this time around. Could the talent disparity be Buffalo’s golden ticket to an easy win?

Here are our Broncos-Bills NFL picks for preseason Week 2 (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook).

Broncos vs. Bills Game Info

Broncos vs. Bills Odds Analysis

The Over/Under is set fairly high for a preseason game at 42, but that hasn’t swayed the minds of most NFL bettors with 76% of the tickets on the Over. That said, a more modest 56% of the cash is on the Over as the line has moved from 39 to 42.

The spread has swung drastically from the opener. Buffalo was initially a 2-point underdog but is now a 6.5-point favorite. The consensus of those who have bet so far strongly agrees as 63% of the tickets, and a whopping 98% of the cash is backing Buffalo to cover and win by at least 7 points.

Broncos vs. Bills ATS Pick

Bills (-225)

Buffalo is arguably the best team in the AFC and is priced as the 2023 Super Bowl favorite across our top-rated sportsbooks, meaning its depth players are better than the depth of most teams as well. Combine that with the Bills' willingness to play starters in the preseason and it’s hard to find a reason to bet against them.

Even quarterback Josh Allen has the potential to see snaps, given that he didn’t take the field in last week’s contest. A handful of starters seeing an even smaller dose of playing time would be more than enough to win against what will likely be Denver’s B or C team.

Broncos vs. Bills O/U Pick

Under 42 (-110)

The majority of bettors may be on the Over, but they could be in for a tough sweat. Both teams would need to score a decent number of points to cross the threshold, and that may be asking a lot of the Broncos.

Their quarterback last week, Josh Johnson, did very well as he completed 16 of his 23 attempts for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately, he’ll be in tough to repeat this feat against a formidable Bills defense and it will ultimately fall on him, or projected third-stringer Brett Rypien, as Russell Wilson will almost certainly be held out. Buffalo will probably score its fair share of points, but Denver was held scoreless for three quarters last week against a less-challenging Dallas Cowboys team. Nothing has indicated that the Broncos performance will improve.
