While the Gamecocks' defense is top-notch and could contain Clark's scoring to some extent, it's allowing the 12th most assists per game in the country (10.8). That number has jumped up to 13 during the last three rounds of the NCAA Tournament. It's a weakness that bodes well for Clark's playmaking ability.

The clearest mismatch in the national championship is Kamilla Cardoso's size vs. an Iowa lineup that doesn't utilize a player in its main six rotation over 6-foot-2. While Paopao isn't a stat stuffer like Clark, she possesses a steady hand and is averaging 3.7 assists per game during 2023-24.
She's been a lights-out shooter and playmaker during the NCAA Tournament, and Paopao is coming off a six-assist game vs. NC State in the Final Four. Paopao will be needed even more to make plays against an Iowa defense that allows 71.5 points per game (320th in the country).
