Do we anticipate Devin Booker and Anthony Edwards continuing to stuff the stat sheet, or are we leaning toward a bet on the Under on both players? Sportsbook Review betting analyst Jon Metler shares his top NBA player props and best bets for Tuesday's three-game NBA playoff schedule using the best NBA odds. 

Three teams face elimination on Tuesday in the NBA, and all three point spreads have the favorites trading as double-digit favorites. It will be a challenging night to navigate player props in the NBA, as multiple players and teams may have their sights set on the offseason.

Although we all enjoy a good Over bet, we have to take the odds the defense gives us and apply them to the scenarios in front of us, which means I'll probably have more Under plays on Tuesday than you're expecting.

Here are our top NBA player props and best bets for Tuesday (odds via best sportsbooks; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Tuesday’s NBA player prop picks

Player prop: Devin Booker Under 30.5 points vs. Clippers (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With the series sitting at 3-1 for the Suns, Kawhi Leonard sitting out, and Los Angeles serving as a 12.5-point underdog in Phoenix on Tuesday, I believe this could be 1-2-3 Cancun for the Clippers. Typically, a lower point total is expected for a superstar player in a game that has the potential to be a blowout, but not for Booker. This is his highest total of the series.

Booker has been averaging 34.8 points per game in the series, which has driven his total up from 28.5 points to 30.5 points. I think the total of 28.5 points is much more accurate, as Booker is projected to score 28.6 points against the Clippers on Tuesday. This projection allows us to price the Under 30.5 points at -155.

I contemplated going Under 29.5 points at +108 via FanDuel, but it had the same expected value as playing the Under 30.5 points based on our projection. DraftKings isn't the only sportsbook trading this prop at -110; you can also do your shopping at BetRivers or BetMGM.

Player prop: Anthony Edwards Under 27.5 points vs. Nuggets (+110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Anthony Edwards has been outstanding in this series against the Denver Nuggets, averaging 32.3 points per game and scoring more than 34 points in each of the last three games. As someone who doesn't believe in trends, I naturally love the Under in this spot thanks to the rogue price we're getting at DraftKings.

Edwards is projected to score 27.1 points on Tuesday against the Nuggets, which is much higher than his season average of 24.6 points per game but not high enough when your total is trading at 27.5 and 28.5 points. Based on this projection, we can price Edwards at -120 to go Under the total of 27.5 points, yet we're able to buy it via DraftKings at +110.

Edwards is carrying a total of 28.5 points at our best sportsbooks, but the Under 27.5 (+110) via DraftKings has a much higher expected value based on how the juice is at the other NBA betting sites. Under 28.5 points at -125 via BetMGM would only yield an expected value of 6.5%, while our expected value is 15% by attacking the Under 27.5 points (+110) via DraftKings.

Player prop: Aaron Gordon Over 2.5 assists vs. Timberwolves (+104 via BetRivers) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have a strong gut feeling that this Gordon assist prop will either result in a cash in the first half or leave us absolutely hopeless throughout the entire game. In his four games in this series, Gordon has recorded 3, 3, 1, and 0 assists. Therefore, it feels like either a green check mark or maximum pain with Gordon. However, I’m pursuing the green check mark because the numbers are in our favor. 

Gordon is projected to have 3.1 assists against the Timberwolves, which means this prop should be trading at -145 instead of +104. This indicates that this wager is showing a positive expected value of 21%. 

BetRivers is offering the best price at +104, but you can find this prop at even money at DraftKings, BetMGM, and Caesars. We have not seen as much steam as we should for the Over on this prop based on the projections, but it looks like it's coming. I fully expect this price to move to minus money across the board before tipoff.

Player prop: Russell Westbrook Under 8.5 assists vs. Suns (-105 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

In Game 4, Russell Westbrook scored 37 points on 29 field goal attempts, and the Suns won by 12 points. If I were the Suns, I would want Westbrook to take 29 field goal attempts once again, and I'm sure Westbrook will have no issue shooting them when he's open. The last thing the Suns want Westbrook to do is create for his teammates. 

Westbrook is projected to have 7.8 assists against the Suns, which allows us to price this prop at -160 instead of the -105 available at BetMGM. Based on our projection, this bet shows a positive expected value of 21%.

The opening price for Westbrook to go Under his assist prop was -105 at several of our best sportsbooks. We've seen steam push this price as short as -129 at Bookmaker and smaller adjustments from DraftKings to -115 from the -105. This further confirms our projection and provides free information that the -105 is a favorable price point since it’s still available at BetMGM.
