The underperforming Dallas Mavericks visit the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, and we're offering our top Mavericks vs. Nets player props based on the best NBA odds.

No one expected much from the Brooklyn Nets this season, but the Dallas Mavericks are really falling short of expectations for the second straight year.

The Mavericks sit eighth in the Western Conference with a 27-23 record after finishing the 2022-23 campaign with an abysmal 38-44 mark despite rostering one of the very best players in the NBA. As a result, Dallas has started to slip down the NBA Finals odds and is more relevant in the NBA play-in tournament odds.

Both of these teams have lost six of their last 10 contests and are playing the second game of a back-to-back on Tuesday - not exactly a recipe for righting the ship. 

Can Dallas use the bit of momentum it built from beating the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday when it continues its East Coast road trip, or will Brooklyn rebound at home after dropping a close one to the Golden State Warriors?

Josh Green Under 10.5 points (+100 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐  

Josh Green's points prop on Tuesday is inflated due to a trio of impressive games by the 2020 first-round pick. In fact, it opened at 11.5 before almost immediately dropping a point. Let's attack the Under before it moves even further.

Green scored 20 points in each of his last two games, and he dropped 18 in the contest before that. However, he's projected for just 8.8 points on Tuesday, according to NumberFire, which is more in line with his performances before this scorching-hot stretch.

When we run that projection against BetMGM's +100 odds on Under 10.5 points, we're getting 33% positive expected value on this bet. Among our best sports betting sites, only BetMGM and DraftKings are offering the Under at even money.

Luka Doncic Under 52.5 points + rebounds + assists (-113 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐  

It's never fun fading one of the NBA's best players, especially when they can rack up points, rebounds, and assists in bunches like Luka Doncic can. However, those same fears - shared by bettors and our best sportsbooks alike - are why we're getting value on the Under for Doncic's PRA prop.

On Tuesday, Doncic is projected to finish with nearly a triple-double, but that still equates to only 50.3 combined points, rebounds, and assists. When we run that projection against FanDuel's -113 odds on Under 52.5, we're getting nearly 13.5% +EV on this bet.

It's going to be a sweat fading a player who often looks like he can do whatever he wants on the court, but with a limited number of players being listed, we'll follow the value and hope Doncic doesn't annihilate the Nets. 

Cameron Johnson Over 15.5 points (+100 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐  

Cameron Johnson has been a relatively reliable scoring threat for the rebuilding Nets this season, and he's projected to do some damage on Tuesday after playing only 27 minutes on Monday due to foul trouble.

NumberFire projects Johnson to finish with 17.7 points against the Mavericks, making this a 20% +EV bet at DraftKings. That's the only one of our sites with the best sportsbook promos that's offering the Over on Johnson's points prop at even money.
