The Cleveland Cavaliers host the Boston Celtics for Game 3 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, with tipoff at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Here are our best Celtics vs. Cavaliers player props based on the best NBA odds.

Just when everyone counted out the Cleveland Cavaliers (48-34), they roared back with a stunning blowout win of the top-seeded Boston Celtics (64-18) to even this second-round series. The Celtics remain the favorites to beat the Cavaliers in Game 3, according to our best sports betting sites, with tipoff scheduled for tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Boston didn't look its best in Game 2, but it remains the consensus favorite by the latest NBA championship odds with arguably the most talented roster left in the eight-team field. The Cavaliers will surely need a strong showing from Donovan Mitchell or Evan Mobley (or both) to keep pace in Game 3.

Here are our best Celtics vs. Cavaliers player props and NBA picks (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Celtics vs. Cavaliers prop bet predictions for Saturday

Donovan Mitchell Under 29.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mitchell continues to pour it on in this postseason, though his 29 points in Game 2 were much harder to come by. He had just six points in the first half as the Celtics threw different looks at him defensively, but that pressure let up in the second half as the five-time All-Star sliced and diced his way to 23 second-half points.

That drew an inspired response postgame from Celtics forward Jaylen Brown - Mitchell's primary defender in this series - who called his team's defensive effort "unacceptable" after Thursday's loss and vowed to respond accordingly in Game 3.

I'd expect the Celtics to have a plan to make life difficult for Mitchell, who has quietly fallen short of this prop total in five of nine games this postseason. There's a reason four of our five best sportsbooks are dealing the Under at -120 or shorter, which implies a 54.6% chance of cashing per our odds converter.

Meanwhile, these -111 odds via FanDuel would net a $9.01 profit on a $10 wager, which is nice value on the side that has heavy support across the rest of the market.

Best odds: -111 via FanDuel

Evan Mobley Over 26.5 pts + reb ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After a slow start to the postseason, Mobley seemed to finally discover his touch with 10 points on 5-of-5 shooting in the fourth quarter of Game 1. He carried over that momentum with a playoff career-high 21 points in Game 2 - his most in any contest since April 2.

It appears the rust has finally subsided for the former No. 3 pick, who has stepped up in a big way with Jarrett Allen (ribs) sidelined over the last five games. Mobley has averaged 11.6 rebounds in that stretch, and he's grabbed 13-plus boards in three of those contests while shooting 60% or better in four of them.

Accordingly, Mobley has cleared this prop total in four of five games without Allen, even as these -105 odds suggest just a 51.2% hit rate with a $9.52 profit on a $10 bet. Expect him to stay hot in front of his home crowd on Saturday.

Jayson Tatum top scorer ⭐⭐⭐

The Celtics might be the best team in the NBA, but they simply can't afford to lose Saturday after a lackadaisical effort on Thursday. And this feels like the quintessential spot for Tatum to step up after a slow start to the postseason.

The All-NBA forward is averaging just 21.7 points in these playoffs - his fewest since his sophomore season in 2018-19 - but he ranked seventh in scoring (26.9 PPG) in the regular season and scored 30-plus in nine of his 20 postseason starts in 2023.

There's a reason our best sports betting apps are offering Tatum's points prop at 27.5 despite the Celtics star falling short of that mark in five straight games. Rather that bet into that number, I like leaning into the volatility of these +180 odds, which return an $18 profit on a $10 wager.

Best odds: +180 via FanDuel
