The only time Las Vegas has dropped consecutive playoff games since 2022 was in its 2024 series loss to the New York Liberty. I'm not going to miss an opportunity to bet on a bounce-back performance from the Aces in the postseason.
Since 2022, Las Vegas is 8-1 straight up after a playoff loss. The Aces have lost consecutive playoff games only once, in their lone series defeat over the past four years. In Round 1 this postseason, Las Vegas followed up its 10-point loss in Game 2 with an 11-point victory in Game 3.
In addition, the Aces have actually fared well in this matchup with the Valkyries. They won all three regular-season meetings by a combined 34 points.
Best Aces vs. Valkyries player prop bet
Chelsea Gray Over 11.5 points (-115)
It's tempting to back the league's best player in a must-win game, but the Valkyries can make life harder for A'ja Wilson than most. That's why I'm backing another playoff rise in Chelsea Gray, who understands better than anyone when to level up her game.
Gray has scored at least 12 points in six of her previous seven outings, averaging 15.3 points over that span. Gray recorded 16 points on 14 shots in Game 1 against Golden State.
Given the Valkyries are focused on slowing down Wilson and Jackie Young, Gray should continue to get the most favorable matchup of the Aces' big three. And since her scoring line hasn't climbed at all, I think it's worth targeting this Over at -125 or better.
