With the series even and heading to Philadelphia, the Phillies send left-hander Ranger Suarez to the mound against Houston’s Lance McCullers Jr. With an extra day of rest, both teams should be willing to dig into the bullpen earlier if the starters need help.

McCullers Jr. started Game 3 of the Division Series against Seattle and Game 4 of the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees. The Astros won both games and while McCullers did not get credited with a win, he has allowed three earned runs in 11 innings (2.45 ERA) in this year’s playoffs.
