My Astros vs. Rays prediction expects Houston to bounce back today after Junior Caminero hit a walk-off home run in Friday's series opener.
Peter Lambert and Ian Seymour square off in the second game of the three-game set, with Yordan Alvarez (ankle) potentially returning for the Astros. My MLB picks fade the Rays as a -144 betting favorite, with first pitch from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., set for 6:10 p.m. ET (MLB.TV).

Follow all of our MLB analysis and expert predictions for baseball season.
Astros ML (+122)
The Rays were somewhat lucky to win Friday night, needing Caminero to hit a walk-off home run in the ninth inning.
The Astros respond today with Lambert, whose season-long stats don't look great, but he's been better recently. Lambert has allowed two or fewer earned runs in eight of his 10 starts since the All-Star break. And with Alvarez potentially returning today, the Astros have a better shot at pulling off the upset than these odds suggest.

Jeremy Pena Over 1.5 bases (+139)
Pena has been a little worse than expected lately - he's only gone over this line in two of his last four games - but he has a favorable pitching matchup today and will likely take advantage.
He faces Seymour, who throws 41.7% fastballs and 32.8% offspeed pitches to right-handed batters. Luckily for Pena, he has an expected slugging percentage of .508 and .408 against those pitches, respectively.
I'd be surprised if Pena didn't at least hit a double today. Jeremy Pena Over 1.5 bases (+139) at DraftKings is the best line available among the top sports betting sites.
📡 SBR Edge: Lefty Fastballs
Pena has a .330 expected batting average against fastballs from left-handed pitchers, which is Seymour's most-used pitch type when facing right-handed batters.
