Want an idea of how dominant Georgia (11-0, 8-0) is? Oddsmakers released the line for the eventual SEC Championship Game matchup between Georgia and LSU two weeks ago and pegged the Bulldogs as -16 point favorites.

Meanwhile, Georgia Tech (5-6, 4-4) has gone 4-3 since a midseason coaching change and would surprisingly be bowl eligible if it could beat the Bulldogs for the first time since 2016.

Georgia Tech vs. Georgia ATS Pick

Georgia Tech +36.5 (-110) ★

Georgia Tech is not likely to upset the best team in the country, so deciding whether or not it can cover this big point spread comes down to whether one thinks the heavy rain in the forecast levels the playing field between these two teams.

The Yellow Jackets' 27-10 road loss to UCF was their ninth consecutive loss to FBS opponents. Interim head coach Brent Key took over the following week, and the team is not only above .500 in his seven games at the helm but has beaten two top-25 opponents. So far, the highlight of Georgia Tech's season was last week's win over UNC, as it held a Tar Heels offense led by Heisman hopeful Drake Maye to 140.5 yards below its season average.

Georgia has won five consecutive games in this rivalry and has a plus-90 point differential (97-7) in the previous two. The Bulldogs easily covered the spread as -35.5 and -28.5 point favorites the last two years, even knowing they had much more at stake in the SEC Championship Game the following week.

Georgia has covered nine of the previous 10 meetings overall in this rivalry. But a combination of Key instilling a new culture, the team playing for bowl eligibility, and a miserable weather forecast should all be reasons the Yellow Jackets hang tough this year.

We’re getting one extra point worth of value at FanDuel as Georgia Tech backers, as the point spread is most commonly +35.5 at other sportsbooks.

Georgia Tech vs. Georgia O/U Pick

Under 49 (-110) ★★★★

Georgia's defense has been impenetrable all season, as the Bulldogs entered last week ranked fifth in rush success, seventh in line yards, and fifth in pass success, and it was the best defense in the country at finishing drives. All it did to top those numbers was hold Kentucky to 295 total yards, 3.6 yards per rush, and 3-of-11 on third down.

Georgia was content to shorten the game and grind out a road win ahead of this rivalry game, as the Bulldogs called 46 runs to just 19 passes. A similar game plan should be in store in the rain this week, similar to what it was in the sloppy conditions against Tennessee when they stuck with the running game (37 rush attempts to 25 passes), despite running for just 3.5 yards per carry.

Georgia Tech vs. Georgia Prop Pick

First half Under 28 (-125) ★★

Georgia Tech's offense is way behind its defense, as it ranks 105th in offensive SP+ but 73rd defensively. The Yellow Jackets have averaged just 13 points per game in their last three against defenses ranked in the top 65 of SP+ and are in for an uglier offensive output against easily the best defense in the country.

The Under has cashed in each of Georgia Tech's previous five nonconference games and is 4-0-1 in Georgia's last five. As a result, we expect a defensive struggle in the first 30 minutes.
