The Philadelphia 76ers cemented their relationship with leading sports betting and iGaming provider BetMGM on Oct. 26, announcing an extension of a partnership deal that was consummated in December 2020.

BetMGM will remain the "official sports betting partner" of the Philadelphia 76ers for an indefinite period of time. The release stated that the agreement is a multi-year deal.

“We’re joining forces again with BetMGM to promote another opportunity for fans to embrace competition, just in time for the new season. We are thrilled to build on our continued success here in the Philadelphia market and offer our unique experiences for BetMGM customers and 76ers fans alike," said 76ers chief revenue officer Katie O’Reilly.

Traditional partnership perks remain in place

The usual perks will remain for both BetMGM and the Philadelphia 76ers.

The former will get TV-visible signage, including BetMGM's logo on the pole pads during 76ers games. There will also be the typical fan-focused engagement campaigns, including promotions within the team's official app, 76ers-branded casino games, and more.

BetMGM also retains the benefit of having its name featured across all 76ers digital and social platforms, including the official 76ers mobile app.

Philadelphia gains valuable fan enhancement opportunities, as well as the financial benefits of signing on with one of Pennsylvania's best sports betting apps.

MGM Resorts’ Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City will continue to serve as the “official away game host of the 76ers.” At that venue, traditional watch parties, complete with appearances by 76ers alumni and branded 76ers prizes, will continue.

New fan engagement opportunities included

Along with the usuals, there is an enhancement that the multi-year partnership will bring to the BetMGM customer going forward, particularly in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. BetMGM and Borgata users will be able to take advantage of a more engaging overall sports betting experience with the top-tier legal sports betting provider going forward.

The partnership extension gives BetMGM customers reworked and re-imagined BetMGM VIP fan experiences and watch parties, as well as valuable special live odds boosts (for users in Pennsylvania and New Jersey). Fifty-percent live odds-boost tokens during 76ers games this season will become available immediately.

“We’re investing in people who are already interested in seeing the Sixers win, score a lot of points, or do something great,” said BetMGM chief revenue officer Matt Prevost. “What we’re doing with an odds boost is getting fully behind the 76ers, and we’re engaging with those customers who are inherently 76ers fans, offering them extra value as a result of this partnership.”

Fans of the 76ers will have access to pre-game shootarounds by the team simply by being a BetMGM user, and the creation of luxury seating for BetMGM customers at the 76ers’ home venue is in the works.

"This extension allows us to further enhance the gameday experience for fans, in the arena, and at home," said Prevost. "We look forward to continuing our rewarding relationship with the 76ers this season and beyond."
