I don't know about Kvitova EP. She can drop sets to anyone and it's going to catch up to her. Stosur might be the most consistent woman left. But who knows how Cibulkova reacts to her big win? I really can't make heads or tails of this women's side anymore. Maybe I'll take Lepchenko and Rus to win today and hope for more weirdness.

Murray's back appears to be closer to a non-issue now. He looked real solid against Giraldo and in general, has been rolling outside of that first set against Nieminen when he suffered from back spasms. Seems to be a lot of love on Gasquet to win this match, but I'm not so sure about that. I do think he's got the ability to snag at least a set in this one even if he loses and cannot see him pulling off an upset where he wins in straights, so this bet seems fairly logical to attempt. Mirnyi-Nestor are the top men's seed for the French and have not been troubled in getting to the QFs. They get the surprising duo of Ebden-Harrison. Clay should make a bigger difference in favor of the top seeds. Nestor has been to the Championship Match @ RG two straight years w/different partners including winning it all with Mirnyi in 2011.

Not really. Ferrer might be the 2nd best clay court player on-tour after Nadal, or at least 2B with Federer. I have nothing to fret about in that one. Had both of them to win the quarter hoping this would be the scenario. Small profit if Ferrer wins. Bigger if Murray wins.

Good job yesterday EP! I'm on Errani and the Fed over 3.5 also. I'm not extremely confident on Errani but I'll be pissed if I don't take her and then she pulls a mini Shvedova on me. Going to probably play some nasty challengers too. GL today!

Do you feel strongly that Stosur will advance? Cibulkova looks to be in pretty damn good form and seems super motivated. That being said, from a physical standpoint this is a pretty bad match up for her, as Stosur will (could) hit right through her and employ that massive kick serve out wide against her shorter opponent. Looking for parlay fodder but can't pull the trigger on Sam.

In addition to the power advantage you stated, you have the potential let down scenario as well. Honestly Cibulkova did what she needed last match but Azarenka was pretty bad. I think as long as Stosur stays mentally into the match, she wins. Obviously gauging mental strength with any of these chicks ... Tough to do. Stosur gets a lot of crap about failing in australia but away from the home pressure she has been good at other Slams.

I think Stosur will be ok. Taylor sounds like he has a good game plan for her in this one and she won't have the pressure of the home crowd to mess with her head. I'd actually be quite shocked if she lost. Although nothing she ever does truly surprises me any more

I was looking at 365 earlier and they have odds up on her for which stage of the tourney she'll be booted at. So tempted to take her for something but I just can't decide. I've jumped on Stosur -2. May as well have a bet on it if I'm going to watch the bloody thing.

I thought about adding her to the futures list but felt like I would have just been negating potential profit since I already had a couple pending. I thought Sharapova was a better idea because of her draw and better ability to hedge.

Yeah that's the thing... I've got Sharapova as well. That's why I was debating taking Stosur as the runner up for +300 but then if she wins the whole thing, I'm hooped.
