I'm glad I am not a member @ TI and can't read the comments because it would probably just screw me up to see all of the shit people post there. I mainly use it for the stats and do take a look at the # of people tipping on one side or another. Doesn't always work out, but when TI rides a dog - the dog often craps out ... although Devilder was the one today that I think was way lopsided in tips over there and he won easy.
Yeah I just checked my accounts because I was on Devilder there but I'm not sure why I didn't actually bet him. Sometimes the insight is really good because there are many hardcore tennis bettors at TI so there will usually be someone who watched a player's last dinky match and can tell you about it. Or they find things in their local media in Slovakia or wherever and translate it for us. Stuff that we'd never find. They also have the guys who buy 2 week memberships for Slams and claim to be pro bettors but I just treat them the same as I do the ones who pop in here 4 times a year with their ultra locks. But I've definitely learned that I have to have my bets already in before I scroll down and closely read the comments because it's a mind fukk. I faded a Canuck because of some bs about the weather that didn't even play out properly ffs.

True but I've just pissed that back on the Berdych over 3.5 most likely when instead I could've had 7x my f'n bet. On a brighter note though, we saved money on Kuku.

Anderson shitting the bed already, whoever wins this third set will likely take the match. And I can't believe I bet on Wawa over Andujar. -425 was a terrible price but I needed parlay fodder. Andujar is playing him tough.

I don't think that's ultra square at all. I'm on Zeballos so I won't comment on that but although I think Aggie wins, it's still obviously very risky if the right Venus turns up. You have much more guts than I do, that's for sure.

Yeah, Wawa's always a bit of a fright. Doesn't help that he had that stomach bug or whatever the other day.

Trust me, if I had a thread today we'd be lucky to be up a couple of hundred bucks at the end of it. And that's after making a lot of plays. Not good. If I get some time to sit and look at things properly tomorrow I'll make one. But I do like just popping in and out of threads. No pressure about worrying if you're costing anyone else money.

Zeballos might have well just quit after the 3rd set. Thanks for making me a master donator again putz. I had a Simon-Wawrinka parlay ready, but my gut couldn't handle it - thought Simon would be easier as he is showing, but WaWa makes life difficult of course.

Looking at my TI stuff is driving me to root against the players I liked now ie Clement. There are only so many days of a Slam that I can peg off good dogs and they all come at the beginning of the tourney. Tomorrow EP.

bagel and lox to kill my bet
I'm glad I watched this though because it reinforced to me why I'll never stick Simon as a big favourite into a parlay. Guy has the mental stamina of a chick with major PMS. Scary to watch how he can play like Federer in one set and then like my dead grandma in another.

I mentioned it in another thread - Simon albeit a roller coaster, is one of the safer parlay options I feel when facing someone who hasn't seen his bland bullshit game and will get frustrated with the long rallies. Baker was a perfect example, although you can see if a guy can adjust during the match, he can compete.
Looks like the over on Mahut-Klizan will have a good shot to cash in the 4th + Chan winning. If Fognini can come through, I can rally after puking through my early bets for an even day.

Yeah I just read your Simon insight in that other thread and you're spot on although I still won't touch that wanker at odds like that. The 3rd and 4th sets were horrible. He should've put him away. You're definitely right though - he has a massive advantage when playing a new opponent because that nonsense would drive anyone batshit crazy. But at least if you've played him before, you could somewhat prepare yourself. Even when a player adjusts though, you can see that it takes so much energy to not only stay in the set but to win it because he's constantly Wozzy pushing that it's like people just wear out. I like when he's up in the -150 or higher range because I have more faith his brain will stay focussed. If he eliminated those stupid mind melts in his matches I'd be a much bigger fan.

Don't be scared by anything that I've posted at least. I did really well in the first round although it was a total fluke because I was coming in blind for the most part. This is the first time in years that I was AWOL for basically an entire season so I'm going to roller coaster this Slam and expect to only make a bit by the end if I'm lucky. Everyone else seems to be doing well though!

Why? I think Wawrinka has one of the best claycourt games out there? He's a great player to watch imo

Thanks to EP, Shari and the regs. Enjoying following the commentary in this thread a lot.
Question...a few days ago i picked up a few "To Win Quarter" bets, namely
*Murray +231
*Ferrer +144, and most intriguing to me
*Simon +2350 (who just survived vs. Baker)
they seem to all still be alive...here's the question...how many more matches must these guys win in order to end up with a winner (so I can properly guage my level of hopefulness/anxiety)?

Hey fitguy! Thanks for the kind words and encouraging EP to let me continue to bomb his thread for a few days
Your guys still need to win 3 more matches for you to cash.
Just to give you an idea of where you're at:
Murray has to beat Tomic/Giraldo (should do), Gasquet/Haas (again yes), and then Ferrer
Ferrer has to beat Youzhny/Haas (yes), Isner/Granollers (yes) and then Murray!! (so you'll win one of your bets barring a major upset)
Simon has to beat Wawrinka (yes) and then Tsonga (very doable especially if Tsonga's acting like an erratic jackass) and then Djokovic (ummm....)
