Not everybody has a huge bankroll to bet with, and the guy is still a student (I assume), since he is only 22 y/o. Nothing wrong with his bet sizes... everything wrong with how he bets though

Wow so being up 50 units is a wrong way to bet? Hell I will compare how much I have made betting tennis over 4 years to how much you have made and I bet I made a lot ore than you have kid. What the hell is wrong with you? I have a small bankroll of only around 15k. With how many sports I bet I don't like betting a ton unless its playoffs or finals etc.

No it was multiple bets that got me up that much. When there is a game I feel really good about I bet more. $220 just was a good amount I could work with with the other sports I bet on that day. I bet more sports and not just tennis and my goal is to always be up in a day overall whether it was from football, soccer,baseball,wrestling, tennis etc. I enjoy a lot of sports so I bet on a lot and don't bet $100s on all of them because that's an easy way to go broke.

It's around 15k. It fluxuates with how much I take out and keep in. I usually like keeping it around 15k though because of how many sports I bet on. It works for me. Some people need a lot higher to bet but 15k is fine for me.

I didn't deposit 15k either, I had to build it up. The reason I don't bet $100 units is you saw how attached I got to the USA tennis players. Let's just say in the US open I get attached to my countrys players. So I usually have to bail myself out if they start losing and then I can bet on players such as Djokovic etc. If you don't bet a lot you can support your countrys players even if they will probably lose. The lines always good and they could win. I usually withdraw around 1-2k a month. Also I work too to get health benefits etc. One thing I do is sometimes I do get too attached to like Roddick,Isner and Fish etc. Or my favorite teams in other sports. So as long as you play it safe your home team can burn you and you still make a profit with a good sized bankroll.

The only people who will be checking out the tennis forum from now until January will be experienced tennis guys for the most part and they'll know better than to ever put 44 units on a single play. You have to think: For someone like me for example, one unit = $200. The point of sharing plays is to help each other out, right? So if I was just a new bettor and came to SBR to tail someone, you would've told me to put $8800 on Djokovic. $8800. If that's the standard 2-5% of one's bankroll that someone should ever have out on plays, I'd have needed a bankroll of at least 180k to have tailed you properly.

This is why when people throw out 44 unit plays they cop a lot of grief, regardless of the unit size. Units don't mean anything at that point because no one in their right mind is going to put 44 units down on one play. Or if they do, they're merely purely pulling a dollar value out of thin air. They're not gambling smartly. Regardless - it'll be a long couple of months until the next Slam so time for us all to grind out some more profit. Best of luck.

Thanks Shari I guess people keep thinking I'm betting huge amounts when it's only $5 units. I am an experienced bettor and 44 units is like 1-2 units of what yours consist of. So it's basically the same as you guys betting 1-2 units. I just bet only $5 units to be safe if I get too attached to say Fish for example. I still come out in profit though and enjoy watching the matches.

As long as you're making a profit at the end of the day, that's all that matters. Just do whatever you feel comfortable doing. My units are $200 in tennis but when I make a random play on another sport sometimes they're only like $20. So it's all whatever works for you. HAHA I agree with that. I just watch and bet way too many sports to use $100 units. Also with living in USA never know when a bookie will leave so I try to withdraw a fair amount too. I can't wait till the Davis Cup.
