I love Franny too. I have since the French but to be honest, this was going to be a tough ask for her today. And apparently she didn't properly hydrate herself or replace electrolytes during the first set which is important on a normal day but obviously was more so today. Actually her coach needs a beatdown if he didn't drill it in her head. But the fact that she did so well on a surface which is definitely not her favourite is a great accomplishment for her.

She really is one of the luckiest players on the Tour. There have been so many matches where she has come out looking like ass and then something happens. The other player chokes, injury, fatigue, etc. Not Woz's fault though as she can only play who the draw makes her play. But there's definitely a reason she hasn't won a Slam.

If it makes you feel a bit better, there's very little chance she gets by Na Li playing this badly.

Well I guess her being the favourite gives me a chance to hedge my Li future. But that still sucks. Books get much sharper as we get near the end. Hopefully the public jump on Woz and push up the price at least a little.
