Calculated risks. Still doubt Djokovic plays deep in this tournament. Now he has his bonus money.

#6302That shoulder story was just a cover up for him throwing a match
to Nishikori, and his noble efforts to donate all winnings to Japan disaster.
His shoulder is just fine, as you can see. We all bought into his bullshit story.

#6304Everyone knows Novak is notorious for making up injuries, faking, etc. Vegas must have bought it too though, because he was only -415 and should've been at least double or triple that under normal circumstances. He started at -515 and dropped to -415. So there were a lot of people who were thinking the same thing.
As EP said, it was a calculated risk, you knew if Novak wanted to win, he would. If he just wanted to be safe and not risk further injury, great chance he loses or retires.Comment -

#6306This isn't made up. Shoulder issue is there. Just a matter of how he wants to manage it. As I said last night, he has very little to gain by playing the whole week here so I would be shocked if he doesn't bail out in one of the next couple of matches to rest for the ATP Finals.Comment -

#6307Sorry dude. Any play that is made in that mode though of going against an injury, I'd probably half your normal wager size. Should have stated that. I definitely make those plays less than a normal amount.Comment -

#6311No read on that one. Almagro has the game to dominate Seppi on this surface, but he's been pretty poor lately. If Almagro is in mug mode, it could be a quick exit or it could be a topsy-turvy 3 setter.Comment -

ATP Doubles: Isner-Anderson +125
This is a repeat match against Butorac-Rojer from the Valencia tournament. The Tall Tag Team lost in straights in two tie breaks in that one. Certainly their serves alone can keep this match tight and you never know what can happen in a super breaker or tie break situation. More often than not just like his singles matches, when The Big Tie Break plays doubles ... tie breaks are there for the taking or the losing.Comment -

#6319Boxing Champ,
Fish has been in a mini slump since his loss to Nadal. He's lost his last two matches, the last of which was 8 days ago where he retired early in the first set against Blake.
Mayer on the other hand has been playing well, has better recent form than Fish, and had a good look against Radek last match.
The court appears to be slower, but I don't think this will be as big a factor as Fish's health--he retired due to a hamstring injury. I don't know how well he's recovered but the combination of injury/slump is likely why the odds are how they are. Personally I usually avoid matches where someone's injured, especially if they're favored.
Anyone hear anything else about this match?Comment -

I was Mayer play last week against Wawrinka, he was horrible, he got something like
29% 1st serve in...It was a disgusting performance. I just can't imagine Fish being this
bad no matter what his mental state of mind is, unless he's playing on one leg, he should beat
Mayer easily if Mayer serves like that again...Comment -
