I don't care for JJ, she has been a great money maker fading her over the years as she is often a huge favorite, I don't see her getting past the third round this tourney.

I left 3 players off my original list I came up with once I saw the draw, Carla, MJMS, and Zheng, because I don't like their draws.

Carla hasn't been in the best of form and has to meet Olga first round and although Olga is not a top player she has been okay of late and you never know when she will show up with a big win. If she gets past Olga (which I think she will) she still has Hantuchova or Tanasugarn waiting for her in the next round, she can win against both, but both are tough matches. Then if she has anything left after 2 tough matches, she will probably have to square off against Wicky in the 3rd. I went with Wicky instead because she has a much easier draw then Carla.

I left Zheng off, even though she is starting to play well, because even if she makes it to the 3rd round (which I think she will) she will have to play probably Stosur and Henin back to back after going deep in this week's tournament and not sure she will have the energy to accomplish this feat.

I left MJMS off, one of my favorites on the tour, because I think this is Azarenka's year she makes a deep run and just going with who I feel wins that 3rd round match-up. If she does pull the upset over Azarenka I will be kicking myself because I feel this is the wide open section of the bracket and she could go deep.

Hey buddy, tomorrow (Tuesday) is going to be the first day I actually get at this tourney with a full card, was out of town on Sunday and today I didn't get a lot of time to look into all the matches but played a pair of matches I liked.

I will take a look into Pet and Kuz and give you my thoughts later tonight but I will say that I am a fan of Pet and have been for a couple years now. I am also not the biggest Kuz fan and like to fade her but don't know if it is worth it here at such a small price (thought Pet would be close to at least 200). Especially since she is the defending champ, thought we would get a better price on Pet. I know Pet is playing well and got by Penn in straights a few weekes back but thought the defending champ would get a little more respect, but clearly not the case. I will be pulling for Pet but don't know if she is worth a play in the mid 100s, was hoping for 2:1.

Will post later after I look into it, I just passed on it and didn't cap it because it was a little to low for my liking but will give it a solid look for you later tonight after the Bucco game.

Weird,pet was like almost 300-1 to win it before it started and now is 400-1,and to be such a small dog says major respect from the books,math isnt my strong suit but to be +175 vs kuze means there some major value on that future.Pet is the chick that the podcast on tennis.com kept mentioning that bondo and the other guys had heard major chatter(from forums and e-mails) on that she was goign to make a strong impact this tourney.
Hey we have 2 days to wait and let the line go up,maybe we will get 2-1 after all..

Currently she is at +165 at Pinny in her match vs Kuz so obviously the books feel she will do well and perhaps pull off the upset. Like I stated before I am not the biggest Kuz fan and started to really like this Pet girl last season, I hit a future on her in one of the smaller tourneys. If she can roll Penn in straight sets, I see no reason why she can't beat Kuz. I mean Kuz is a solid clayer but she is notorious for early round exists; even though she won it all last season. I am going to look deeper into this match tomorrow and I may end up making a play on her or not.

What do you think about Rodionova-Makarova and Groth-Chan? Already made a play on Rodionova at -140, thinking about Groth.

Also, what's got you leaning Morita? I was leaning Flipkens, but I'm not sure now.

I like Rodionova in that match but left it off my card because I already had enough invested but feel she gets by Makarova. As for Groth/Chan I look at that one as a toss up and wouldn't lay (150) on Groth and if I had to play it would play the dog, Chan, just because I feel it could go either way. Not playing it, just wouldn't advice laying close to (150) with Groth, much better plays out there.

As for Morita/Flips, Morita has played the better competition to this point and has been far more competitiive IMO. Flips only win in four tries this year on the clay is against Bammer who I feel is God awful so I feel to get her at plus money in this spot is to good to pass up.

Now, this is something that i experiment with (just paper trading) as i'm just beginner in betting on tennis. The whole idea is (i doubt it is me being first to think of) i look for all the matches that my book offers for that day and trying to find overlapping. Meaning, the player that is playing 2 matches - in singles and in doubles competition. Next thing is to see which player bookies made fav - e.g. on wednesday you have Szavay in singles competition for +290, and in doubles competition with D. Safina for -500. Now the thinking behind this is me trying to find out if she thinks that she has greater chance in doubles to go deeper and if i'm right she will put more effort in doubles match making her opponent in singles safer fav who you can parlay now. That's the general idea and i would like to read your opinion on this.
