Looking ahead to tomorrow I am surprised Chela is a +771 dog to Murray. Gasquet choked the match away yesterday and basically ran out of gas after that so most players could have beat him yesterday. It's not like Murray took charge and looked great. Murray has a 5-1 head to head with Chela so I am sure that helps in making his number that big but still Chela might be worth a shot at +771.That is a very very big number.
Guilermo Garcia-Lopez as a +119 dog to Thiemo de Bakker??? Sign me up. I like Garcia-Lopez on clay and as a dog you can't really go wrong with taking a shot here.
On the women's side I don't see much. I don't think there are going to be any big upsets but with that being said taking a -1000 woman tennis player,even if just in a parlay, is still of little to no value at all. Will pass on that. I know alot of you are going to say Petkovic as a dog over Kuznetsova and I have to agree that it does look like a good play but I have Kuznetsova futures so I am just going to watch the match and hope Kuz pulls through in the end. I don't think it's surprising that de Bakker is being backed by the public. People remember his play in Barcelona mostly I am sure and he is a good young talent that just needs that one moment where it all comes together. The guy dominated the Challenger clay circuit in 2009 and now he's stepping up to the main draw. It's an interesting match because GGL's career shows that he's better on the slower clay surfaces, so he needs to hope the rain slowed the courts at RG some. I think it's a toss-up. Probably look at the Over potentially if they keep it in the high 30s. I think this is going to be a pretty decent match. de Bakker's power is what I think could be a determining factor if the courts stay fast. 16 aces in his opener. His serve can be devistating when it is on. That is why I would consider him personally. This is one where I'm going to watch the line movement although I am pretty sure it's all going to be on de Bakker. I may throw him into a parlay - gotta think.Comment -
