What are the normal rules with how many sets need to be complete for action? I know some give the money back or others may take 1 set etc.. What would the consensus be overall?

All are different. BetPhoenix for example I believe states that the match must be fully complete or it's no action. As per the contest, looks like 5Dimes says once a set is complete, the match has action. I think the majority used by US players are similar to BetP's rules.

Peer is rolling Suarez Navarro.

She broke her twice in the first set and finished it 6-2, pretty quickly.

Yeah. Suarez-Navarro could be a good all-around player if she knew how to serve. Until then, she'll just be a decent clay courter because of her defense. Shame that she was not in this one at all. Peer isn't that good. Hope we get that Almagro one tomorrow.

DAY 5
1. Nicolas Almagro +100: Fading Robby Ginepri. Guy lost to Safin twice this summer. The same Safin who hasn't hidden that he's mentally checked out on the game of tennis and doesn't care about winning or losing. Ginepri had a nice tourney in Indy, but hadn't won until he beat Pavel. Ginepri will play some tight sets and this one could certainly go 4 or 5, but I think Almagro is a bit tougher on this surface than some think.

It really looks like a crappy day for picks tomorrow with a lot of big chalk that doesn't look worthy of picking against.

One I might give a go is Acasuso at +240. Didn't realize just how bad Martin was against Ferrer and Ferrer still dropped a set and easily could have dropped two if not for his miracle rally in the 1st. Acasuso is crap on hard courts, but this is probably the most confidence he's had with playing well at New Haven. Ferrer is capable on any day of stepping up and rolling someone, but if Acasuso serves as well as he did in the opener (no break opps) - at these odds, a good play I think.

We'll see. If Almagro continues to hand out break chances (10 in 1st set), this one could roll your way pretty quick. If he drops the 2nd set, Ginepri is probably gonna cruise in straights.

What do you think of Navarro +150 vs. Dent -190???
Navarro beat a better player in the first round. But Dent probally has the crowd on his side playing in the Grandstand Court.
Both are ranked pretty high in the 100's. Seems to me like Dent should roll but he is only -190, so I'm thinking this looks like a suker bet. Maybe Navarro at +150 is the play. Any thoughts???

I don't like that match at all. Last time I bet on Dent when it looked like he should have a solid chance, he laid an egg. Defintely do not like him at nearly -200 against anyone. My main problem with Dent is his serve seems to come & go from one match to the next. It's big and can dominate, but when it's off, he can get beat by someone like Navarro. At the price, I'd say no play or Navarro. If you could find a handicap for the # of games for Navarro + whatever, that might be the best one.

Navarro is +3.5 (-137) at Pinnacle.

Too much juice on the spreads there, though.

More or less. Been weird. Almagro got broke early in both the 2nd & 3rd sets I think and broke back early and then ran away with the set. Almagro has been much better, with just four break opps after the 1st set. Both have a crapload of unforced errors.

Looking at the stats, Almagro has 16 aces vs. 7 and 44 winners vs. 30. Gonna be tough for Ginepri.

5th set for Ginepri & Almagro. Ugly ass tennis. Ginepri probably takes it because the crowd is really behind him. Both are getting broken routinely. 25 break opps by Almagro, 18 by Ginepri. Almagro looked tired from the points I saw. This is like a chick's match with all the breaks. I'd be surprised if Almagro doesn't get rolled here. He blew two breaks in the 4th when all he had to do was hold serve on the way out.
