I debated this. The reality is Giorgi is the harder-hitter. She'll either get the winners or lose. I'll go with her.

Damn i think linette wins, shes been hot. She beat players like muchova that plays with power and siniakova that rallys more. Giorgi makes too many ufe. Linette wins in 2 sets easy i think.

First off, props to you for diligently keeping a record despite a losing season. Very few do that. Most either quit keeping their record, quit altogether or start new threads.

As far as Giorgi today, she falls into the same general rule I have with Keys, never play her as a favorite, never play against her as a dog. I watched her first round match at Cincinnati and she was awful. It didn't matter who was on the other side of the court, she was going to lose regardless, she was spraying balls all over the city. Obviously she is in better form now, but I just can't play her at that price. I was really hoping Wang would win because I absolutely would have played her against Linette.

It's a no play for me but I'll root for you.

You're right. It's the same rule I keep with Benoit Paire in the ATP. I played that rule as well with Makarova when she was hot - winning as an underdog.

I don't know how this will go. I've now cashed Linette at +200 and +125 but I think Giorgi's game is superior to her's.

You were right. Very often such dogs normally put in a lot of effort to win the first set. I thought that had a decent chance.
