So 4-7, -1.38 with three pending.

I can't believe I didn't pick Seppi in the contest. I did in my thread.

Lou, already trash talking? You're in the red after Day 1.

I say I'll be ahead of you, but it won't be enough to win the contest.

A.Beck -700 loses in 4 sets to Granollers

Only a few small upsets on the women's side thus far, including Larcher de Brito coming through for me again.

            lines from Bodog

also, one of my big upsets just missed. Bolelli -900 narrowly beat Koellerer in 5 sets.

Tanasugarn -1000 could fall to Parra in straight sets. edit: and she does. 4-6 4-6

Wickmayer -330 won a total of two games. 1-6 1-6 to Vesnina. How embarrassing.

Zvonareva -3300 is having quite a battle with Stoop. 7-6 2-3 thus far

One thing I noticed and it may not pan out with another day of rest for some, but look at the losers on Day 1. Wickmayer, Tanasugarn, Dancevic ... all involved in Finals matches over the weekend. The heavy schedule may have killed them.

Best match for Day 2, but totally torn on the side - Youzhny vs. Juan Carlos Ferrero. JCF +115 at my book, Youzhny -145. Liked Youzhny originally at a lesser price, now ... decisions, decisions. Could be a five set gut buster.

EP ... nice to see you around.

I had a good day ... looking positive for the rest of the tourney.

I have DelPotro and Djoko in my futures.

Also ... try to read more on Kohlschreiber ... the guys has been playing great tennis, and his value is on the lows for picking some good players in the early stages of the event.

                    DAY 2
                    1. Santoro +175:
Nicolas Kiefer provides the competition. Kiefer retired in his last tournament a couple weeks back with an addominal tear. Not exactly the thing you want to hear about someone coming into this tournament. It's been two weeks, but how will it act? Santoro beat some real clods in the build-up to Wimbledon at Eastbourne, but that may have helped him find some form. Kiefer beat him in straights in 2007 at Wimbledon, so maybe revenge the last time around for the Frenchman.

                    2. Chardy +700: Said this was part of my futures play basically on Andy Roddick. Want to make sure Andy is healthy, so .25 of a unit on Chardy in case Roddick is less than 100%. Chardy could even trouble A-Rod a tad if he is healthy, but I don't expect much.

                    3. Levine +190: Who knows if Safin is healthy or cares at this point. Levine is trying be an up & comer. No better time to make a name than to beat a Wimbledon semifinalist, especially if he plays this tournament like he has most of 2009.

Probably going to play the Youzhny-JCF match, but going to watch the money and where it goes.

Thanks I need to bounce back with a winning day on Day 2. I got a parlay cooking too with Dimitrov & Becker. Not totally sold because Dimitrov is in his first Slam event, but he is a great talent and has the tools. Really is all about nerves. Becker was been great on grass this summer.

EP, I think you're starting to rely too much on injuries that we don't really know the full extent of in order to predict these matches. I'm only with you on Santoro for tomorrow, considering he would potentially win against Kiefer even if Kiefer wasn't so banged up. GL tomorrow.

Everybody seems to be on Santoro tomorrow...just wondering why? Kiefer seems to be better on grass has beat Santoro the one time that they played on grass. I do understand that Santoro has owned him otherwise, but I'm just wondering why this seems to be the play of the day tomorrow.

Favorites dominating in the early matches.

Oscar Hernandez has been pathetic. Hasn't won a single game. This could be one of the fastest Wimbledon matches ever. Third set already.

i would NEVER Bet on a player just because his opponent got injured 2 weeks ago or so ,
Most of the time these injuries only have little or no effect on the result of the match.
Having said that , i think that kiefer is going to win against santoro , just because he is pretty good on grass.
Wont put any money on it though

I'm not basing my picks on injuries, outside of the Bartoli pick yesterday and the hedge play I made on Chardy today against Roddick because I have Roddick as a futures bet here. Chardy is solely to cover me in case Roddick's injury flared up/not knowing fully if he was 100%. Picking Santoro, I only mention the Kiefer injury because it happened. I'd take Santoro at that price with both at 100%. Don't think Kiefer deserves that big of a favorites tag at this point.

Youzhny is getting all the money today, up to -170. JCF at +140. Thinking JCF now, it's a 50-50 match. Probably oughta just lay off, but this match is going to be the best one today I still think.

I believe the best game is being played right now.

Navarro vs Hanescu ... tied at 2 sets a piece and on the 5th tied at 6

I'm using flashscores. Still not showing a final for Hanescu-Navarro.

I can't use the atp scoreboard because it requires flash, and I can't use that right now.

                                            Is it over yet?

I've been waiting on the 5th set tiebreaker for like 10 minutes.

I can't use the atp scoreboard because it requires flash, and I can't use that right now.

I was on Hanescu, following the scoreboard was torture.. Navarro really should've won, threw away 4 MP's two games before breaking, and even then he threw it away at the end. Sounded like an epic match.

Have a streak going on another site and took Garbin because I thought Hanescu lost (I wouldn't have picked had I known). Oh well. Let's hope Garbin saves me. She's up in the first set.
