I just went over the matches where I bet Serena only. Two of the spreads against her won on the game spread (I took the spread on the sets which lost). She then won by 1/2 point against Kerber in her most recent match.

So if I play my spots on the game spread only I may have a better time.

I don't think the strategy is one you could hit repeatedly, because bookmakers set their odds in such a way that you can't make money that way.

I think it should be applied on a case by case basis... i.e. when you get a +6.5 at even money, take it. A -4.5 though - the value was on Serena, not her opponent.

Its very simple. Serena CARES spread semis, final and takes every point seriously. Early rounds she doesnt care
About game. Actually serve saved Serena. Longer rallies Serena cant fight anymore
I hope to get in the future juisy lines for laying Serena. Slow hardcourt or clay could cause her much trouble

Yeah, I didn't take every match. I applied it on a case by case basis. It went 2-2 in matches I took if I were to take the game spread instead of the series spread on that one match. It could have gone 3-1 but missed by 1/2 game in the final.

I think I'll continue this in her next major.
