Okay, so here is my proposal for the US Open.

Wins stay the same @ 20 pts
Straight sets wins bump from 30 to 60 pts
Winning the title bumps from 100 to 200 pts
Making the Final bumps from 40 to 80 pts

Rosters would be 12 players. 6 seeds, 6 non-seeds.

I think I have to agree with the bumps because it is obviously more difficult to advance deep into a major.

Captained though, I believe 630 is correct if my thinking is correct. 2 straight Ws = 60, 3 more Ws = 60, Finals appearance = 40. Double pts for Ws and Finals appearance for Unseeded. So the Ws + Finals Appearance = 320 for non-captained, minus 10 for the Finals loss = 310. For captained, it would be (160 x 4) 640 for the Ws and the Finals appearance minus 10 for the loss = 630.

interesting then...what is the system of your calculations if you counted correctly for yourself but missed -10 points for everyone else?

initially i thought your approach was to take all chosen tennis players, calculated points they got, and then distributed them to each of us (how we picked them).
but guess it's different.

You get 100 for winning. But he only got another 100 for his five wins because none were in straights. So 200 total. And thanks yisman for the update. Sorry for my slowness. Work has been a bitch since some layoffs last week, so I haven't had quite the time to do everything I want to do in and around that bullshit.

you should change the rules so it clearly states that only the runner up gets the 40 points then... because with the wording on the 1st page I'm feeling like rosol deserves the 40 as well for the finals appearance

Sorry I thought it was clear enough. No need to change it at this stage since we're on the last one, but to clarify - you get the 100 pt bonus for your player winning and 40 if they lose in the Final.
