Granollers's is a ball absorbing counterpunching grinder and if he's fit, he can beat the roger vaselines glide, serve and volley attack with the forehand and approach the net sort of style. He's not that good with that style IMO and also inconsistent throughout the duration of a match with it.Comment -

Remember this sport's about momentum.
Vaseline had all of the momentum so broke twice, but because there was a 5 minute sit down before the start of the set, the momentum lost it's power of swing and matters were reset. Granollers also has the character to go away and sit down to reassess proceedings and come back stronger, he's that type of character.

The loss is a result of Halep not playing any proper tennis for 2 months, so by default. Nothing to do with my ability to pick a winner. This bloke's way too much of a tool to let that one go though. It's natural players may tank matches because they have a bit of rust on them and only want to EASE themselves back into action. This tournament was probably see as an aid to get her a solid match "hit". It's frustrating on my half that I never saw somebody like Halep to be the type of player that would do this. Three double faults in one service game and all the while this guy is stroking his rooster with a tent being put up down there. (Small tent)
