I actually think this would make Flipkens want to win even more to be honest. Although it could go completely the other way since don't really know Flipkens to know how she would respond.

Regardless, I actually liked Flipkens in this spot against Cornet. Only reason Cornet is favourite is cause she won against Halep yesterday even though to me, it doesnt mean much as Halep didnt want to be there from the short turnaround from the tournament she won.

If you guys don't want to tail the guy, don't tail him but don't ask well why why why after every pick. He's researched the pick enough to make it, if you're tailing you should trust the guy enough he did his homework instead of trying to poke holes in his picks.

The pick is Cornet because at this point in their career's she is the better player. Her form only dipped recently because she had been struggling with the flu, something that was going around the tour among a few players especially the Frenchies. She's over that now and if it weren't for that hiccup she might not even be priced as favorably in this match.

We'll see how it goes, Flipkens more than capable but still have the lean on Alize

And SirtySree if you don't pay attention to the trends and the way different players perform under different numbers/lines and look for patterns then you aren't using all the tools given to you. To say it means nothing about the individual match up is correct, but if you're claiming it's a useless piece of information then you're not here to win money. I don't think asking for a rationale is wrong. Of course, he can refuse to give one but on such a large play (if one were to tail) it would be stupid to do so without knowing why. At least that is my opinion and Matt shouldn't be offended (and I don't think he is) by our questions.

Haha, can you tell I've got some sleep deprivation going?? I know what European odds/decimals odds are; and even fraction odds (remember looking at those in the newspaper on NHL and MLB games when I was younger and never understanding them). I was just in the wrong frame of mind looking at it and had in the back of my mind that Matt was from Texas, so I wasn't thinking decimal odds, just over-thinking it.

Matt and I go back at least a year, so I'm not ashamed to ask. He offers his picks and opinions all the time and this is no different. He enjoys doing it, otherwise he would not have a thread. If we were a bunch of jerks showing up on his thread to mess with him, I'd understand your response but we are only trying to understand and learn so that we too can become better cappers and/or have a reason for tailing. After all, this isn't religion or maybe you think it is; in which case, we should have more faith.
