Have to disagree - usually when he's challenged by someone with the ability to play to his vulnerabilities on hard court, and the form to make use of it, he loses in straight sets. See the Tsonga match here last year, wasn't even close.

To my mind this is a measure of how much he's improved.

Depends on Verdasco's fitness really, he has played a lot more tennis than Nadal. It's hard to keep a serve % up when tiredness bites.

Having said that, Verdasco was 2-1 down vs Murray and came back to win. Murray was unwell though (couldn't leave Australia for 5 days afterwards), whereas Nadal is superhuman fit.
