Yeah, that was pretty much why I didn't take him against Tsonga - I figured the Murray win was a lifetime one off. Perhaps should have taken more notice of the double bagel against Gorgeous Radek before that.

Nadal has lifted his game yeah - he needed to on serve, as Verdasco was really all over his second serve (54% points won!)

However, Verdasco looks more confident also. He can still play a lot better.

LOL brutal. I bet $1200 to win $150 figuring it was an easy win. Knew it was a dumb bet but with 6-0 record vs him and Verdasco never winning a set I figured it was safe.

I did that for Murray, although not nearly as large.. I had 200 on murray to win 10, which was stupid... Verdasco beat him. I had to take Verdasco tonight just for value simply because of how well he's been playing.

This is always how Nadal is beaten on hard/indoors - Tsonga in last year's semi here, Nalbandian murdering him in Paris/Madrid in late 2007, Fed beating him in TMC07, Murray at the last US Open, Youzhny annihilating him a year back in Chennai.

Has been happening less of late though - the weaker players who used to beat him like Blake, Berdych and Soderling he can now handle.

Still, awesome serving from Nadal there. This set is on a knife edge.
