Violence against women isnt taken seriously? Idk what country you live in but here in America, you go to prison for a very long time if convicted of rape... then, once in prison, you will be killed because even prisoners take raping of an innocent chick seriously... using the word rape to explain the beat down someone/a team is receiving in an athletic event hardly desensitizes us from the actual act of raping.

I'd just use something like 'justly recognise'. A more poetic imagination than mine would be required to coin a single, appropriate word.
