For all the shit we give him, I think he/his coach were very wise to drop his ass down to Challengers this year. He needed the confidence/rankings boost from playing there and it is working. Up 30 spots from the beginning of the year. I'm sure he will do qualis for the US Open hard court series a lot, but outside of that swing - he should be concentrating on Challengers still IMO. He's actually become a relevant bet again on that level.Comment -

I'm intrigued as to why Klizan chose to drop down for this one, taking a Wildcard. My thinking is that he's looking to scrape up as many points as he can to try to get seeded at Wimbledon and playing on clay offers him a better shot than going to Nottingham perhaps. Not that surprising. It's a Challenger, it's not like motivation is always going to be high. He's been sloppy this year, but had some decent results lately and while C-Busta looks like a future clay fixture, he had a ceiling he was hitting in most of the tournaments he was playing.
