#252What a wasteful performance. Venus broke to go up 5-4 and serve for the 1st set, but blew it and then pissed it away in the 2nd. Meh. Challenger bums get on your nerves.Comment -

#261How do you guys feel about the Sugita/Jones match? Jones is 2-0 H2H against Sugita and seems like he's having a decent run of form in 2013.Comment -

#262Jones withdrew, so it's moot. Sucks because that means my Sugita spot in the parlay ends up being a total waste as I think it just gets cancelled without the ability to put another one in its spot. On the plus side, it's Money Slot time then albeit with a six selection parlay instead of seven.Comment -

#263Going for a bigger payoff, but of course hedging on the Open Parlay.
Slot #7: [Kyoto] Meffert -120
Payout is +680 on the parlay. Risking 1.8 units on Barton @ -120 to win 1.5 units. So 0.5 unit profit if Barton wins, +5.00 if Meffert wins.

#264Impressive for Barton win. Thought Meffert's serve was going to be a big deciding factor, but he got just enough to lose. Small win on the OP of 0.5 unit.Comment -

#266gonzalez is playing like total shit...every rallye he attacks quite well, but waits for the slow defensive balls to float all the way to the baseline instead of actually approaching the net...while bagnis is doing the total opposite, just returning and wait for a weaker ball to approach the net.Comment -

#267Yeah I think maybe he hit a mental wall from playing a lot of tennis in thee last two weeks. I thought he had already gotten past the fatigue hurdle, but apparently not.
Probably should have just stuck with Kyoto. Tough sometimes to get good plays in other tourneys where I didnt pay quite as much attention, but still liked the spot.Comment -

#270If I remember right, I think this happens most years - the guys who skip Indian Wells, but play Miami ... A few of them usually drop in for this tourney. Should be playing some of these tomorrow, its about equivalent to a 250 ATP tourney with this field. Wish I had time to go heckle some of these mugs.Comment -

#272Rochie did it up easy over Falla. Definitely some playable QFs tomorrow. Been great weather this week in Big D. Warmer today and tomorrow than earlier in the week. Need to see some prices, but should have a play.

*Saw that Rochus line at some euro books, so assuming 5Dimes doesn't gauge - I'd be willing to take it at -165 or less.Last edited by EaglesPhan36; 03-15-13, 07:34 AM.Comment -

#277Major Chumpstain today. Petz gets up a break in both sets and proceeds to bend over and take it in the ass after that. 5-3, serving for it in the 1st and he loses the set 7-5. 2-1 in the 2nd and serving to go up 3-1, he's now down a break. Nice work doosh.Comment -

Petzschner loss is still irking me. Didn't take into account his doubles partner (Melzer) was in the other semi. I always wonder if there isn't some back handed deal along the way - obviously easier to fix a result if you're playing each other straight up in a final. Just kind of curious with the way Petzschner blew both sets after being in total control. Such is Challenger life.
Going to try and get into this week earlier than last week. Only one tourney in Canada on an indoor hard court, but a good field of our usual Challenger offenders. Pospisil #1 seed. Millman, Bobby Reynolds, Sugita, Stebe and Jaziri highlighting the "names." Pospisil is the defending champ.Comment -

Weird.. I watched the match vs Kudla a couple days ago and he looked like he was in 100% tank mode.. Figured he wanted to be rested for Miami quailes... Very suspiciousComment -
