Victor Chandler just closed my account
Hi folks, I would like to inform you that Victor Chandler bookmaker decided to close unilaterally my account after just 2 (!!!) bets I did with them.

I would like to send you the email they sent me here, but in the foot steps they write:

    a) Is intended for the person(s) or organisation(s) named above. Access to this mail by anyone else is unauthorised.
    b) Is confidential and may be legally privileged or otherwise protected in law. Unauthorised use, circulation, copying or disclosure of any part of this communication may be unlawful.
    c) May be susceptible to interference and should not be assumed that it has come in its original form and / or from the stated sender.

do you think they can prohibit me to report the entire mail here ?

I think it is really absurd:

    1) they closed the account without any explanation
    2) they prohibit me to report their email in a forum like this

it is admissible !? Is there anyone here having the same or any troubles with them ?

    thank you,
    Matteo

    LOL.

Even by the standards of Euro books, Victor is amongst the most aggressive in limiting or closing the accounts of players.
On the basis they have done it after just two bets, it is likely that your plays were also wagered by arbers.

How can they touch you if you do post it?
But I don't think you'd be the first one to do so on this forum as this has been going on now for quite a while.

Unless they have changed it in the last 3 years, the wording is as follows:

        Dear xxxxx

We are contacting you today to advise that a business decision has been taken by our Senior Traders and I must inform you that betting Account Number xxxxxxx has now been closed and no further business may be executed on your behalf.

The total balance of the Account £xxxxxx is currently in the process of being paid back to Card ending ****xxxx and can take 3-6 working days to reflect on your banking statement.

The balance of this Account now stands at zero with one outstanding bet:

        yyyyyyyyyy

As explained in our Terms and Conditions, a Traders decision is final and will not be over turned.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your past custom.
        Kind Regards

        xxxxxx

my wording was a little different, no open bets listed. but they were paid out when settled.

it took them, say, 18 months to close my account.

Bet73it, don't worry about the e-mail. It looks like it is the standard warning that accompanies most e-mails from companies that include this warning in case the wrong party who 'originally' was sent the e-mail gets this e-mail by mistake; for example, a neighbor, a mailbox of someone who has nothing to do with this. It is forewarning the incorrect party who received the correspondence that this is private, and, if it is the wrong party, to destroy the correspondence. Since you are the correct party, you can do what you wish with the message, such as sharing it with us, since it is your property.

This is story which appeared in the Racing Post about the 'global giant' Victor Chandler and the giant bets he lays.

This is somewhat at odds with the people who open an account, have a few bets of £25 or so and then have it closed, like me. the OP, and many more.

The way VC close so many accounts suggest to me one (or both) of 2 things. 1. Financial issues 2. Massive incompetence

It is certainly not financial issues.

They don't want winning players, period. The fact that they (and several other Euro books) can make good profits is more a reflection of the average bettor than it is on the book TBH.

Precisely the same thing happens in Aus with Sportingbet, Centrebet and Sportsbet all putting out press releases of $1M+ bets ahead of all major events hoping to benefit from the free publicity which the clueless media generously gives them.

                                  Hello,
My VC account also lasted just 2 bets and it was closed then.
But I think I know why did this happened, and it is because of my bwin account.

I made regular profits in bwin for 1 year, and obviously they didnt like it so they limited me down to 1 Euro max bet. So I stopped betting in bwin.

Shortly after I opened an account in VC and it lasted 2 bets.

If you look at the odds and markets offered bwin and VC you will see they have exact same markets, same odds.

It also goes for gamebookers and partybets. I think the 4 of them are just one.

So I was not too surprised about it. What did surprised me it was when a bookie I thought was totally independent from them (Bet24) told me from my very first bet that I was limited in a certain type of matches, the kind of matches I had been so succesful in bwin.

So that shows you how much they respect their privacy policies!!

Because Pinny is not so stupid to offer 1.25 on Milano win yesterday in basket Euroleague

My account is closed too,I played just eurobasket, never put more that 100e bet, without one withdrawal...

They closed my account after about 36 hours. Yes I was a customer for 36 hours!!!!!

I placed three bets on NBA and one bet on a sure-win and I lost it all on BetVictor.

I lost about 1800 dollars there.

And one week ago Ladjokes limited my bets to 0.

                                        such clowns.

I'm resuming this thread just for fun:

Placed a €100 bet on a horse @10/1 after months of up&downs (probably my overall was down at this bookie).
                                          Result: account closed.

I know you hate Bet 3.65$ but Victor Chandler is second to none when it's s**t time.
