I think the reason that I have only gotten half...so far.. has to do with the original MB proposal to credit ***** if the balance was under 10K and otherwise to do a ***. My balance was between 10K and 20K, and when the *** did not work to my bank, MB agreed to make 2 credits to my card. I was very encouraged to see at least half my balance get credited. I assume the rest will get credited soon. I have not had any communication with MB since we agreed on the *** idea on March 23. I still cannot see why it took so long, nor why the second credit has not been made. Coincidentally, I had just sent a note to Bill Dozer to see if SBR could help, but then I checked my *** balance and had to quickly pm him again that maybe its going to work out. If I do not get the other half fairly soon, then I may contact Bill Dozer again.

It's not been so much a matter of me defending Matchbook but attempting to get through some thick brains to provide some likely sound and logical explanations for their actions for the benefit of those suffering stress over the issue. That Todd idiot for example makes mountains out of molehills over a few trivial changes in their program. And based on my own experience payouts have been anything but slow. On top of that there have been scores of posters saying they've been paid (albeit some a little later than expected) and only a handful who are claiming to still be waiting.

And I've been thinking some more about this takeover. To my mind it would have been more sensible for the new owners to take over only the non US customers' accounts, leaving the previous owners to pay out the US customers, including settling the outstanding futures. That would have removed any concerns at all about the new owners infringing US laws. Now, I'm not saying this is the case as there's been nothing indicating such from Matchbook's announcements but it is possible that is the way the deal was structured and if so then the liability to settle with the US customers is in fact with the former owners. Just a thought because it would appear to make a good deal of sense but it doesn't explain why they wouldn't have made such a deal public.

Anyway I hope those still waiting get paid soon and that this latest US activity doesn't prolong it .
