That's what I'm trying to do, but I don't see where to change it on their website. Please explain where this is located, as my selection box is checked off correctly. Thanks.

It should be immediately to the right of where you chose English (N. American). It's a drop down menu. The default is Decimal Odds (I believe). Change it to American Odds. All of this is above the Pinnacle logo in the upper left of the home page. GL
If you still can't find it, go to "Help" at the top of the home page and then "Sportsbook FAQ's". It's given as a FAQ. However, for me, it describes the location given above. LOL

Thanks Buzz, I see it now on the parlay page. But the arrow is frozen on euro decimal, won't allow me to change it.

yeah but you have to get your money in and out of there at some stage .. don't they charge fees on both ends?
and if you are only interested in the exchange don't you have to rollover the transfers into Bookmaker too?
so those are extra costs you have to build into your exchange odds

I have no xtra costs. I deposit into Bookmaker or DSI over $300, so deposit fees are reimbursed. I withdraw through Bookmaker/DSI, get 2 free payouts per 30 day period for being a diamond member at both sites. There's a small 1x rollover on transfers, which I meet immediately whenever I transfer to get a better line. All the in house transfers are free between: Betmaker, Bookmaker & DSI.

And a Dep/WD fee is well spent when your money is safe. Unlike an outfit that needed 3 months to pay its players.

Todd ... If you've dealt with asianconnect88 in the past/now, would you please share your thoughts with me before you tell me that it's not available to US players. Good/bad reviews/experiences fund safety/quick payouts. P.M. if necessary. Thanks UB

I've never ever had an issue with getting paid by Matchbook. Always very prompt.
But then I'm not a Yank.

Hareeba, there is no reason for you to argue in this thread. Nobody here likes MB, no matter how great they were, or are to you now.

Nothing to do with MB mate.
I was just attempting to point out to the unsuspecting that Todd failed to disclose ALL the costs of using Betmaker.
It was he that brought up the (false) MB comparison

If you can use it, MB is still better. Tough to get past the 2% commission and the high w/d fees.

Sorry, I have never used them. So I would have no info on this.
Id say the best bet is the SBR listing, no matter what any player would tell you - their assessments are pretty spot on.

The bottom line, MB was great 2 years ago..
But now - no matter what sport it is - doesnt trade a single dollar in game - and doesnt keep money of its players on account. As proven by 4 month payout times for a few thousand dollars.

Betmaker's NHL lines are pretty decent, not a ton of liquidity, but hopefully that will increase. Slowly but surely they are making improvements...as a US player, we don't have many other options

Thats a sport I very seldom even look at.
But with the potential of no NBA - could be much more popular this year than any other!

Believe it when I see it. Both sides are way too greedy to get it done imo. And if they dont get it dont Sunday - 2 weeks (about 1st 10 games) are cancelled on Monday.

NFL ... didn't expect it (although it's been advertised at the bottom of the home page), don't see it and if it's offered on all games, it'll be as dead as MB has been over the last 2 years unless there's 2-way market makers (which there won't be). GL UB

I wasnt around again today - but all 1pms were closed? But all 4pms open??
That makes no sense at all.
Theyneed to get to a pattern and stick to it so people know when to expect markets to be open.

They dont realize the opportunity they have with this live betting! The volumes theyhave been doing without advertising anything are great!

Volume is pretty low, the offers aren't super competitive, and the software is pretty crap....but this is getting us pretty close to Matchbook. There is definitely potential here, and I am satisfied as a new customer thus far.
Hopefully more people start using it, and then it WILL become the next Matchbook.

Software does suck - but so did MB. Nothing will compare to Tradesports, imo.
I am easily getting my bids filled.. so I have no volume issues. And In-game? Forget it. MB didnt do this ingame volume at its peak. And they still have ZERO in game liquidity. So Im very happy with that.
And .. backed by an A rated book - better money safety than a company that keeps nothing on hand.
Hopefully more people will be satisfied like you Domer, it takes time I guess.

MB had incredibly high volume via in-game betting at its peak. WSEX was putting up live offers in conjunction with their live betting. I would bet in the tens of thousands during games, just BY MYSELF, and there were plenty of others doing the same.

Well from what I remember MB was never very high volume in game. They had a MMer for a short time, and really not much moved.
As far as the ten thousands per game, should I refer back to the other thread about the amount you had in futures?

did you see intrade is not segregating clients funds anymore...talk about a potential full tilt ponzi...no way they make any money now only charging 5 bucks a month for an account...wouldn't want to be the last one out after the election.

Do you have a link to this? Would love to read the news on it.
Probably has a lot to do with the death of John Delaney. Im sure there is plenty of greed there now. As much as I thought Delaney was a greedy pig headed a$$hole - I always felt my money was safe with Tradesports/Intrade.

Intrade has discontinued offering individually-named member bank accounts. The service will be withdrawn for existing users at the close of business on November 30, 2011, at which time, the balances in individual segregated accounts will be transferred back to the general member bank accounts.

The money is safe at Intrade considering they're forbidden from withdrawing from player-segregated funds by Irish banking laws and would face jailtime for fraud for doing it. This is not some fly-by-night operation going on there.
As far as what that implies, you're reading far too much into it. It costs them money to maintain them, and I am guessing they don't want to pay for it anymore. On top of that, if you're a US citizen, that is also a colossally stupid idea to have an Irish bank account unless you're filing forms with the Treasury department. Having offshore bank accounts and not reporting them can land you in jail. For real.
Todd, back in the 2006-2007-2008 time frame, tens of thousands changed hands during big football, baseball, and NBA games on Matchbook. The World Cup was even pretty big in live betting. Whether you acknowledge that or not doesn't matter much...it was reality. Betmaker has a very long way to go to get back to where Matchbook was.
