Can anyone please give me some insight to how Matchbook works. I know it is an exchange but if someone puts a bet for -130 @ 500 dose that mean I have to bet 500? I am a little confused. Thanks for the help.

If you bet 500 or less than 500 it will be matched automatically, If you bet more than 500 then first 500 will be matched automatically and the rest will be available for someone else to match your offer. In addition to Odessa comment, if there is plenty of time before game starts, don't accept the offer by others. You can enter a better offer +131 for the amount you want to risk, and it will show up as -131 at the other side for others to match. In this way, you don't pay 1% commission, actually you will be paid 0.2% for your effort.

Matchbook has Buff at GB -13 +103. You can accept that offer, or you can make your own offer of GB -13 +104, or +105, or +106.
Very easy to use. Lets say you put in an offer of GB -13 +104 risk $100. After you hit submit, your offer will show on the screen as Buff +13 -104 $104. Another bettor who does not want to lay -110 at juice charging books may accept your Buff -104 offer.Comment
