    Sports Books selling mailing lists
Here I go, I just recently moved and thought once and for all I was safe from gambling mail spam. Well low and behold ... Here is comes all over again in the mailbox, football schedules, casino junk, etc, etc.

So who is the culprit, well, I have accounts at 5 sportsbooks and various poker sites and I only updated my new mailing address with one of them, Bookmaker.com. First of all, I already complained to them a few years back when they were cold calling my house and left a message with a family member saying, "Hot new reload bonuses and a Super Bowl special!"

That was completely unprofessional to begin with because if I gamble or not it's nobody's business but my own and to leave a message pertaining to gambling to a third person regarding my gambling account was uncalled for. I then complained and they said they took me off the phone list, which is fine. However, at the time I could never pinpoint which company was selling my info as far as mailing lists are concerned. Well, now I can say without a doubt bookmaker is doing it.

I never registered a change of address w/ the post office, I never gave any other website my new address (which I was planning on doing to be completely honest, but was too lazy as of late) to any site except bookmaker.com so any idiot w/ who can use simple deductive logic can conclude.

THIS is total B.S once again. I'm already not happy with bookmaker over the affiliate issue as they owe me money which I'll never see (10 active player rule) but for God's sake, where is the respect of personal info???

SBR please downgrade them already. Your site states over and over when a book cold calls is a bad sign of desperation, well also look what they have done to their affiliates (stole millions off of small time webmasters with their change of agreement and impossible terms.) They have always been good to me on the players side of things, payments .. etc.

And YES it's them, like I said they are the ONLY site that has my new address.

This straight off of bookmaker's site:

BookMaker.com respects your choice to play our games and works hard to ensure your total privacy. We guarantee that access to your account information is restricted to you by your unique user name and password. Your customer details are stored and managed under the strictest supervision.

              YEAH RIGHT

Your information is definitely sold by the books, although I think it was much more prevalent with VIP/Nine than Bookmaker. It never bothered me, but I imagine they would take you off their mailing lists if you asked. Sometimes its good though - they send you some free junk every once in awhile.

Once you get your mailbox and tracphone, make sure you make a tin foil hat and wear it all times. Otherwise the government can read your mind with radiowaves.

aren't they obliged to include an opt out / unsubscribe link with their spam?

BetUS is one of the ones I'm getting. Like I said, only book that has my new address is bookmaker. They are the ones.

Funny thing is, they sell to competition. They really must be desperate. Started cold calls a few years ago (SBR says this is a sign of a book in trouble yet they still rate them A+.) Selling mailing lists (why would a financially stable book do this?)

And a little known fact from the players side but a well known fact from the affiliate side. Stole millions from small time affiliates with new rules in place. Go to their affiliate website and read the terms (which they changed.) Require 10 active players in the previous week before you can get earnings. These are next to impossible requirements. But there's more. Go there, and tell me if this is not the signs/actions of a book in trouble.
