A player employing a similar strategy on the player would have been unfairly crushed. Either way, Beted freerolls the player.

Assuming we're talking about baccarat, doesn't the banker normally have less house edge than the player, so the player could have reasonably played the banker blindly not even knowing about the casino error? I'm pretty sure the last time I had to play a baccarat promo at an online casino, taking banker instead of player was the right move.
