Careful credit players @ Matchbook, you are being stolen from
For the second time this year Matchbook raises commissions without notice to anyone. No notice, yet Matchbook raised commission credit players pay starting Monday. The text on the website still states:

"Just as last year, Matchbook will offer a season-long commission discount on baseball. Moneylines: 0.7% commission when you accept an offer, 0.0% when you make the offer. Runlines and Totals: 0.8% accept side, -0.1% rebate on the offer side."

The reality is they are charging .45% on the offer side of baseball trades and .8% on the accepting side of baseball trades (It was .25% and .7% up until May 9). No notice, no email and no it is not specific to the agent. I have seen this in accounts from three different packages. The only way you would know is if you check the match on your graded plays for yourself.

Does anyone else think this is extremely dishonest and misleading? I guarantee you there are lots of players who think they are paying the advertised commission who will eventually find out they pissed away hundreds if not thousands of dollars that have been siphoned out of their account without their knowledge. If this were a regulated industry there would probably be class action lawsuits, etc.

Matchbook Tom or anyone else from Matchbook please come in and explain.

I just noticed this yesterday and was pretty pissed too. At the very least, there should be some notification in the account so that the burden doesnt fall on the agent to alert his sheet.

I am pretty sure that the credit side of MB isnt run by Tom and Co., but by another office.

Ironically, I was told not even a month ago that they were trying to make the credit side commish more in line with the post up side.

Instead we have a huge divergence.

A few Matchbook threads have discussed their credit business here at SBR. You must of missed it. The poster "Jellybean" says he has a 6 figure credit account at Matchbook.

for the MLB, NBA and NFL. Matchbook offers great odds for both sides of the wagers. when the odds or lines change in most of other major sportsbooks, Machbook will change them right away. don't why so quick.

Camelot - "For the second time this year Matchbook raises commissions without notice to anyone."

                        Thanks for the warning.

Camelot - "(It was .25% and .7% up until May 9)."

Are the current commission raise, and the previous one this year, both for baseball only?
Other sports the same as always?

Most of the books if you have the connections offer credit. Credit is where the business is at.
