    TwinSpires review

I’ve never posted a sportsbook review on here but I felt I needed to after what I just went through.

First, there are two different sites on twin spires. There is the sports/casino and the horse racebook. You cannot exchange funds between them.

I signed up the twin spires when Michigan legalized sports gambling. I signed up with a promotional code that I found out was for the horse racing book. Before I placed a bet, I asked if I can use a different promotion code, they relplied I have to use the original one i signed up with (which is useless).
So I go to place my first bet in the sports book, when I try to enter it, I get a message that’s says technical difficulties contact customer support. After a couple more attempts, I go to the chat room of customer support I realize there’s a queue of over 40 people. As I wait on my phone I realize that If my phone goes into sleep mode I’m booted off the chat.
I give up on that day and the side come back and try again later which gave me the same results. After all this I get frustrated and just decide to withdraw my money and go to a different book.
My significant other gave me a $50 Groupon for twin spires. When I went to put it in to the account that I never used, it came back invalid because they said “it’s for new users only“. I try to get the money back from my gift and was told that I couldn’t because I already open the voucher. So we’re out that money.
With all this negativity I must say I like the option of being able to watch the races I bet on and they do offer a wide range of bets that some horse racing books do not.
Unfortunately this is not enough for me to keep depositing money and using their product.

That does sound like it could be a bit confusing not having the sports and racing offerings connected.

I've been with Twinspires Horse racing maybe 15 year. Never any issue at all. When I saw they were going to expand into sports betting, I was excited as Virginia had approved 5 places at that time. I sent Twinspires an email message. Before the day was over, received a response, that Virginia had not yet granted them a sports license . They were very clear in the message that my horse racing account COULD NOT BE USED FOR SPORTS, when and if Virginia approved them. I would need to open a new account.
Still waiting on Virginia. It may not happen.

Twinspires I do hate I think they are the worst ADW. Anything owned by Churchill IMO should be avoided as they are crap company. That said OP needs to read the terms. All the books that have connections with horses or Fanstasy have terms. Example DK if you deposit funds into your fantasy on accident you have a 1x roll before they can be transfered to sportsbook. I have seen the groupons too and they have very specific terms also. To me OP caused most of his issues here though I hate TS no fault of theirs here

OK, I will admit that I didn’t read all the terms and conditions, as I thought the site would work like all the other sites do.

I will not take the blame for not being able to place a sports wager and or not being able to contact anybody for help. I did receive a form email 3 days later, telling me if I need more assistance then contact them again.

That DECISION is Bigger than TwinSpires is my guess. I would think it would be to their advantage (in the states where TS is legal for horses and they are granted a sports license, just to let people use the same account). It's highly likely a political thing in some form or fashion.

Is Twinspires still accepting new customers in PA? It looks like it, but I read that they were supposed shut down back in Feb ?
