    Sunday's totals (10 over - 3 under)
13 games yesterday, 10 went over the posted total, 3 under.
(The Raider-Dolphin game landed on 40; some shops had 40.5, others 40)

No major rule changes this year, so my guess is that it's random variance. I'm interested to see where the totals land this week.

      Tomorrow is 'overreaction Tuesday'
I'm thinking slight regression; look for a solid under or two.
      Yesterday was an anomaly.

I'm feeling an under 43 in this KC game.

Nice call on the KC under.

I agree with some regression likely coming.

          Thanks, Tanko.

Andy Reid could have stuck to me on 4th down with 48 seconds left; thankfully, he had Mahomes take a knee.

Troy in the booth last night was 'killing' the Broncos.
He's right: Denver was next-level stinky; Bo Nix was lost.

Best of luck going forward, Tanko.

              Buffalo - Detroit UNDER 55

              a)
This is the very first game in the new Buffalo Highmark Stadium.
The Lions have never played there; the Bills have never played there,
Nobody really knows the conditions on the playing field, like the wind.
The turf is new grass, but running backs have never run on that field.
That can't be good for scoring, right?

              b) A total of 55 is a tough nut to go over.
              Nine touchdowns = 54 points.
Both teams have firepower, yes, but nine touchdowns?
Both teams can play some defense.

              Unless there are defensive points like a pick-six or a scoop-and-score, I don't see 55 + total points.

                Holy regression, Batman.
Week 1 (last week) was an NFL record-tying 791 total points, averaging 49.4 points per game.

Week 2 (this week) of the eight early 1 pm games, there's a real chance the 'under' could go 8-0.

All games are in the 3rd quarter

                CIN 10- 3 HOU
                NYJ 7 - 7 GB
                MIN 6 - 3 CHI
                NEP 10 - PIT 3

The only game with 30+ total points are the Eagles and the Titans.

And what's up with Bryce Young?
All of a sudden, he's the second coming of Joe Montana.

Last week he went 23 for 37, 361 passing yards, 3 TD passes
He just threw his third TD pass of the game vs. Atlanta midway through the 3rd quarter.
He's well on his way to another three-TD, 300-yard game.
                He's single-handedly crushing the Falcons.

You think Nick Saban is sitting in front of his big screen with a shit-eating grin, uttering "That's my boy"

Atlanta is a big steaming pile of dog poo.
Penix is injured, Tua is concussed; they started Cooper Rush, who got yanked for the immortal Jack Strand, the pride of Minnesota State-Moorhead.

It's getting real ugly in Atlanta.
The good folks over at profootball.com just posted this.
